I've been building Tamiya RC and 1/35 scale models since 1979. One thing that has never changed with Tamiya is the use of screws and the complexity of their models. This kit will shortly be in my collection it has peaked my interest since I first saw it.

Very cool, thanks for going through it and pointing some stuff out! I am looking forward to getting mine... eventually! I still have no idea if it is coming or not so I am just waiting! It looks really cool and so far everyone has said it runs really well. I should have gotten the slipper but it should be fine for my light driving! I don't think my track has enough traction to warrant one anyways! Looking forward to seeing you run it and I hope the 1:1 cars get sorted out soon! That is never fun juggling rides around!

Thanks for the video! You've EARNED my like. You gave a lot of good information. I was browsing a hobby shop website for plastic scale models and this (BBX) happened to randomly show up. I instantly fell in love with it because I used to run the Tamiya Wild One and Fast Attack Vehicle in the '80's against my friends Frog and Hotshots and Hornet. I love that Tamiya has quality cars that look real. THey're durable, high performance, and they really look great in scale. Without realizing how new this was I thought I must have this. This car will bring me back to the hobby!😀 I have an RC-10 and my two Tamiya kits in storage and I will be resurrecting them soon, maybe this year, but This will be my only new car. I've been watching other videos on this BBX and RC-10 and some are boring and uninformative. 😴🥱You taught me quite a lot about this car. Keep up the good work and thanks for not wasting my time. If there's one thing you can improve on the video, I would say its the sound quality. It seemed low and difficult to hear. 😀😀

Hey Rex, you are right that this is different from other Tamiya’s 2WDs, I don’t expect it to be priced like a Kyosho Dirt Master but it is still pricey. @rexrcs

I would recommend a lower kv, , after running mine some more I think 10/5 (i had it laying around) is too much for the buggy, i shouldnt say too much, just more than needed. a 13.5 is good, if going bruched maybe torqu tuned with 27 tooth pinion?

Ps-19 camel yellow. If you want it to stay bright, back with silver or white. For a stronger mustard color back with black. Spray many coats lightly is better than few thick coats, thin coats also dry faster. I always soak my paint cans in hot water 15min prior to painting, makes the paint come out nicer from the can. When youre almost done, spray the can upside down so the inner tube empties and less likely will have clogs in paint can for future
