FULLY exceeded my expectations. I absolutely love this show and can't believe I'm gonna have to wait probably 2 years for season 2. I know Eamond is a psychopath, but daum, he is so darn cool. 🤩

I’d guess it wasn’t even a head washing up here (unlike in the book) as it looked like all that was left and fell to the sea were wings and part of a tail. So brutal.

He knew the rammifications of the prince dying to his dragon. He didn't really care for his nephew so much as he just did not want to be the one to provoke a war. That said, I do think he only intended to terrify the prince, but he gravely underestimated the nature of an older dragon.

Deamons reaction got me there too. I thought it was their first one as well Because Damon doesn't show emotion except irritation and anger. The rest of the time it's a total toss up. It wasn't strange to see him angry over the throne being stolen. But to me hitting his knees on the beach grieving like that seemed extreme for him which made me think it was he and Rhanyras 1st. But that led me to correct myself because upon thinking about Ciserys being murdered in Daemons mind, It made me remember one of my favorite scenes where they tell the king that their youngest child Is is named for him. Which of course led me to remember that Damon was really shook when he saw his brother that way. The reason he was so upset is because he not only lost's not only lost a son, He lost a son on the same day he found out he lost his brother. This show is so good but it's fucking depressing Edit: Sorry for the length. Once my motor starts rolling on this show Game of Thrones or the walking dead. I can't shut it off till it runs out of gas.

@@BaddMedicine In the book, fire and blood George R.R Martin, the author, makes it clear that it is an unreliable narrative shown from the POV of witnesses. It was never perceived there that Aemond had killed Luc by accident. And Alicent is malicious to the point where she wishes Rhaneyra to die during child birth. Also Aegon isn’t that bad in the book even. He was fair and just but then again it depends on the narrative. Fun fact: Alicent took care of King Jaehaerys as well. Bathed, dressed and read to him so she’s definitely older then Rhaenyra in the books atleast. Vermithor, his dragon, is mentioned but again not as much due to narrative. He is the second oldest living dragon up to a 100 years old and is more acceptable to new riders.. ish Also if you ever want to look for spoilers besides the books, there is a series called Game of Thrones: Histories and Lores that talks about the back stories including the dance of dragons. HBO released them with the original characters and actors narrative. They even talk about King Robert Baratheon’s rebellion from Jamies, Tywin Lannisters and many other’s POV. Do check it out. I don't think the size difference between Vermithor and Vhagar is ever given, it's just said Vermithor is the second biggest. Vermithor is, however, a lot younger than Vhagar. He's in his 90s, while Vhagar is 180.

@@moose2_the_o756 Martin claims Caraxes is the most battle-hardened. In this books he fight many many years nonstop in the Stepstones, probably more than what Visenya did in the Conquest and Dornish wars.

@@welcome1971 Alicent is a Hightower, and doesn't ride a dragon. I think you mean Alysanne? She rode Silverwing. Silverwing is another riderless dragon that resides at Dragonstone and has a close relationship with Vermithor.

@@BaddMedicine Dragons continually grow larger as they age and seeing as Vhagar is approximately 180 years old she is massive. She is also a battle hardened dragon, (she was ridden by Visenya, one of Aegon the Conqueror's sister-wives). Which is why when Luc's younger inexperienced dragon freaked out and attacked in fear, she went in for a swift devastating kill. And like Viserys said to Rhaenyra in the first episode "...the idea that we control dragons is a myth"

Yeah drogon was going around eating herders cattal, this was when he wasn’t obeying her & didn’t trust her being a naughty boy. He then comes back massive.

Corlys even makes similar comments in both scenes. 'At least, the Princess has a plan.' and 'The Prince is right, Your Grace.' Both comments indicate Corlys is in favor of both Nyra's plan and Jace's plan to send them as envoys.

I think Drogon was much bigger than Dany's other two dragons. In episode 6x10, when Dany rides Drogon to attack the Master's ships, she passes the pyramid where her other two dragons burst out of their prison. And as all three dragons fly, you can clearly see how much bigger Drogon is compared to his siblings. I think they sort of alluded to the fact that keeping dragons locked up over a long time prevents them from growing. On their own, dragons will keep growing bigger with every passing year. Vhager is the oldest living dragon at over 150 years old, which is why she's so big... and cranky.

@@NovaLena22 yes. Drogon was distinctly larger. Though the difference is not as wide as the dragon sizes we see in HoD

Yes! Not by mutilation, but by some physical and verbal means; and at least the boy should have been made to understand the concept of the dishonor of kinslaying, or harming one's kin (ditto Baela and Rhaena and Jace and Aemond himself). Rhaenyra and Alicent needed to apologize to each other. Viserys totally messed up! And if the children had been properly supervised, Aemond would still have both eyes. (you don't let a bunch of royal and princely children wander around unattended in medieval times, it just would not have happened, they should have had maids for the girls, tutors or companions for the boys, also guards. Baela and Rhaena were so upset and grieving their mother, while their father was out fooling around with Cousin Rhaenyra - one of them or both of them could easily have slipped out to wander, tripped on the rocks in the darkness, fallen into the water and drowned). Aemond said, at Driftmark, that losing his eye was a fair trade for gaining a dragon. I think that was a lie, made up on the spot to pacify Alicent; Aemond could see that Alicent was out of control and he needed to calm her down before she further endangered herself. (it was obvious to him that his father didn't care for him, as much as Aemond is capable of love, he loves Alicent, he needed and wanted at least one parent's love, and knew that his mother did). I think he's been nursing resentment and hatred towards Luke all these years. I am not at sure that if Aemond had managed to capture Luke alive that night he would have been content just to take his nephew's eye and not his life as well; or that Luke might have, in terror and pain, fought hard enough so that Aemond would have fatally wounded the boy.

Him being Viserys (the king)

Vhagar is a female dragon and is the largest and oldest the one in the mountain who Daemon sings to is Vermithor the mount of King Jhaharys 1 he is younger than Vhagar but because he is riderless he will be difficult to control even Vhagar doesn't always obey her rider as we saw when sweet Lucerys met is untimely end along with his dragon xx I loved HOD but no way is it better than GOT and to compare them is disrespectful to both productions xx Rings of Power I loved and again shouldn't be compared to The Lord of the Rings which is spectacular they are very different productions and again should be viewed as individual shows that's my opinion xx
