I've heard Eileen mentioned so many times and yet it completely passed me by in terms of wanting to actually pick it up and now I'm not sure why, it sounds great - look forward to your thoughts. Also - the top your wearing in this haul is so pretty! xx

I wonder after reading various books in French that you would speak about anything you notice that makes your reading experience different fron reading in French? I am aware that I am a much faster reader in English but I pay attention more to the sentence structure and beauty of the Spanish language when I read books by Hispanic authors. I am more willing to write in books I own that are in Spanish than my books written in English. And there's no need to rush yourself to read books in French! I don't mind waiting ☺ I hope you are well and I am sending you lots of happy thoughts and love 🤗

+Adriana Resendez hi! Can't believe it's taken me until my next upload to reply to this comment, I'm sorry! Thank you for your lovely thoughts. You're right - I'm sure the experience will differ and I'll definitely be sure to discuss that when I review the book. I suspect I'll feel similarly to you. Lots of positive thoughts your way also, thank you for watching xxxx

Hello Vix!! How are you? I love your videos (and you don´t look weird at the end at all!) I love your bookhaul specially Eileen and the Kevin Costner book. I have a thriller book you may like (written by a French author!!) but I don't know how to write it in English because I read it translated. I am Spanish so I read it in my language. The book was translated as 'El ordenador asesino' (I would translated into English like 'The murderous computer' but I don't know if it is even accurate). It is written by Christian Grenier The bok tells the story of a police woman, expert in computer, that has to face several cases of people who appear dead in front of a very specific type of computer. They died because of the same thing and they owned a very advanced computer. And that´s all I can tell you, hehe. I read it when I was like thirteen and this book was target for middle grade or early YA but I loved it. Maybe you could give it a go. Great video, as always! XX

I've only read it in translation, but you might enjoy 'Réparer les vivants' by Maylis de Kerangal, if you haven't read it already. In English it's published as The Heart (US) or Mend the Living (UK). The novel tells the story of a heart transplant over 24 hours - I found it really beautiful and smart and affecting.
