I have that kneeling bench. It saves my old knees and back. When I got it last spring I told my husband I’m officially old. I’ve used it to kneel or sit on when I paint inside. 😊

Have a sack barrow, its amazing what I can shift with it, a old gardener here, did a Apprenticeship in Horticulture and Gardening over 44 years ago, here in New Zealand. But am nearly self sufficient in vegetables and alot of fruit. But have just installed a tunnel house after 31 years in this garden, so am learning a whole lot of new stuff.

Hello there, again.I used old carpet laid down to over winter on soil. It’s great for suppressing weeds and also to warm up the soil. So, the next time time that you see a carpet fitter’s van near your house, just ask him for all his old pieces of carpet, making sure to persuade him to deliver them to your allotment.!!!

I really like you. Our garden got a late start because of the weather. It is coming along even though the weather is still chilly. My husband and I struggled to get what we planted into the ground this year as we are having some health issues. We have been gardening all 51 years of our married life and before that all our childhood. I could give you a lot of advice but it may not work well in your climate and with your soil condition. Just keep trying and you will be fine.

Wood ash from a wood stove helps with weeds and it also gives nutrients to the soil. Your garden looks great! I've seen a video of a repellent for midgies is vanilla extract, you just pour some in your hand and rub, or spray bottle. I haven't tried it yet. Take your time so you don't throw your back out. If your buggy would of took off downhill wouldn't of been good. Awesome job on the fence! Beautiful colors on the flowers. ❤❤
