Hey man ! Just fyi, whatever you do about Daredevil Season 3, the fact is that everything regarding Matt in the first 2-3 episodes is directly connected to the events and the outcome of Defenders. So, like you said, either you watch a recap of the other series (because obviously Defenders finds its source and many elements in the other series and not only in Daredevil) ; or you watch the whole thing, but I doubt you're up to do that. Honestly, I have to say that -back then- it was a pure blast to wait in-between these series (the expectation factor + hype), and a strong enjoyment it was to experience them once they finally got released !!! But yeah, in the present context (tons of Marvel content out there nowadays) and in your specific case (having countless things to check) ; I understand it's a different deal... But then again, like I said before, I enjoyed all of these Marvel/Netflix series without any exception ; big fan of Jessica Jones (it has a very very unique taste/feel to it), big defender (no pun intended) of Iron Fist (it really worked for me ; I know it's often criticized but I don't care ; I think it has numerous deep themes/topics), and yes of course Daredevil is the tent pole of the whole thing ;) And yup, Punisher is a blast ; great character study, intense and very layered story-wise. PS: Luke Cage has many connections (and cameos) in Jessica Jones and Iron Fist ; btw these other series are more connected with one another than Daredevil is.

You MUST watch the Defenders before Daredevil season 3. The Defenders will probably get you interested in Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Season 1 of Jessica Jones has DEE SCARIEST VILLAIN!

May I suggest you watch The Defenders? Either on the channel or not. It's definitely a bridge between DD S2 & S3. The events really matter. It also closes this seasons story. It also ties directly to Iron Fist. Not a great show but fills you in on "The Hand" quite a bit.

Not watching 'The Defenders' is like not watching part of a Daredevil season. It has valuable story information that answers a lot of unanswered questions..

Season 3 won't make sense without watching the others in the Defenders series, or at least The Defenders itself. I would watch Jessica Jones (Season 1), Luke Cage (Season 1), Iron Fist (Season 1) then The Defenders. Then move Into The Punisher (Season 1) before Darevil season 3. You can look up the official order in which to watch them online. The character of Iron Fist is annoying but it also has good fighting scenes. Not quite at Daredebvil level but still good.

But I’m sure you’ve already rewatched em. I’m really glad my theater went crazy when Matt showed up in No Way Home

... what hero does the monologue that let's the villain escape? It's a well established villain trope but I don't quite remember heros doing it. If anything, it's usually heros talking to distract the villain.

Daredevil season 3 is phenomenal. You should definitely watch it after Defenders though. Also, Frank's line when Karen says " you are to dead to me." "I'm already dead." POWERFUL!
