All my life, my mom was never around. She was to busy chasing drugs or chasing men. I was never a priority. She was never there for me to get me ready for bed, help me brush my teeth, have a nice bath and tuck me in. I never understood how nice it must be to have a mom who cared. Someone gentle and kind, someone who listened and understood. When I found Julia's channel, she gave off the vibe of what I always thought a mom should be. She listened, was warm and caring. And when I started following her on IG I saw that, the person she portrayed in her ASMR videos was the person she truly was. One day if she ever has children, they will truly be lucky. To get to experience life growing up with a mom who loves you and cares for you is every kids dream. I just have always wanted her to know that shes helped me so much. And now that I am a mom myself, I am trying to emulate the kind of mom I am after her. Thanks Julia 💜

I’m actually the opposite of a lot of people. Before the quarantine I was extremely stressed, hated my job, constantly felt run down, never felt I could catch up on sleep even when I slept all day or slept only 7 hours a night. I just was so exhausted I contemplated quitting my job so many times because im overworked, under appreciated and underpaid. ANYWAY I’m loving the quarantine not only because i got away from my toxic job (which I’ve been trying to do, but I guess I’m just too picky about jobs) but I’m also very antisocial and have pretty bad anxiety when it comes to going to the grocery store, ordering food, even going into work. I’m on medication but I still tend to overthink. I’m already dreading going back to work so this video has really helped! Love your content and you’re voice is so soothing! Thank you for all you do!!

My daughter was born the end of February and was sent to the NICU. Corona started getting horrible while she was there and my husband and I weren’t allowed in the hospital together, only one of us at a time. She had to undergo surgery at 3 weeks old and I couldn’t be there. The NICU experience is already heartbreaking, and corona made it soooo much worse. This was the hardest thing I ever had to go through: having my daughter 6 weeks early, I barely held her for 30secs before they took her from me because she wasn’t breathing correctly, she was sent to a NICU 2 hours away from our home, I basically lived in the hospital for over a month to be with her. I felt like it was all my fault. I was hopeless, heartbroken, I have never felt so depressed and stressed in my entire left. I unknowingly had preeclampsia and went to the same hospital my daughter was in because id had a horrid migraine for 3 days straight. Come to find out I was on the verge of seizing due to high blood pressure and was admitted myself for 3 days and couldn’t see my baby girl for that entire time, which felt more like 3 years. Then corona got horrible and made everything so scary. I thought we’d catch it and give it to her which would be fatal as a preemie with her health issues. She finally was released and she’s been home 2 months. I can’t even think or talk about that experience without wanting to cry. I spent that entire time she was in the NICU crying in the shower, quietly crying behind her NICU room door, crying while I tried to sleep, etc. I’m so glad it’s over with. Sorry this was so long and nobody will probably read it anyways, just felt like typing this will help me get a lot of this off my chest. 💞

Your little one is a fighter. All NICU babies are, and they're incredibly special and so much stronger and resilient than we can even fathom. Mine was born 3 months early, i wasn't even into my 3rd trimester. I couldn't hold him for ages, it was all very emotional and hard to go through. All i can say is take each day as it comes, go with the flow, and make the most of kangaroo skin on skin time. Your special little one will thrive from that one on one cuddling. Wishing you all the best and sending much love and strength to you X

Miss Julia 🖤🖤 I love the idea above of "helping a friend who is having an anxiety attack" ASMR idea! Please consider? As an 'essential employee' (pharmacy tech), I am seeing so much right now - mostly a mask of frustration or anger, which is truly apprehension and fear. Everyone is frightened right now - myself included. I dread the forboding economic aftermath of this whole mess.. Please stay secure & stay well-nutured in all aspects. Thank you for all that you do, thank you for just being you 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 We love you, Jules!!

It may never be "better" but the absence becomes tolerable. You will be okay. Sadly, living through this demands time. You will find a peace with the loss. It won't be perfect, it will be hard. I’m having trouble being social even with my family that I live with. I feel like it’s so easy to just watch tv in bed when I’m not doing school work, and feel like I only see my mom and brother for dinner when we eat together. I feel like I’m being a bad sibling/daughter but really I’m just depressed, want to do my class work, sleep and watch tv. Being away from all my college friends and my busy life has just reminded me how fast I can slip into a depressive episode. Anyways, I needed to vent about that to someone, but I don’t like putting my issues on my friends. So I guess this is better! Hope everyone and your families are safe and healthy. And if they are battling covid or something else, whatever it is, my thoughts are with you ❤️

The only thing I can say to you is take it a day at a time. If you really want to branch out and interact more with your family then it doesn't have to be a big step. You can set a small goal for yourself such as asking them how their day has been while you are eating or something similar. After the goal is completed you can feel good about yourself because you made the effort to reach out. Don't try to take on more than you can chew and don't beat yourself up if you feel your are falling short in an area instead say to yourself, "I'll do better next time!" :) If you have a small goal in your day it may give you more of a sense of purpose and the fun thing is you can make that goal up yourself. Most importantly take care of yourself and stay motivated!

Sophie, you are not alone hun, same here, and the worst that i feel regression in advance, my father is a senior and my mom passed away when i was young, and my siblings are all away, i see them rarely , so i have to be the one around all the time specially that i live with my father, am already scared of losing him i don't feel that i will be secured in this life after him, am so worried and scared and though i can't do anything about it, i still keep myself alone and lock myself up in the room just out to eat quickly check on him and then quickly back to my bed, that am literally thinking of committing suicide.

First, I would like to thank you on their behalf for the work you do. I'm sorry you have this fear on your chest. One of my family members works as a nurse, so my family knows they could accidentally bring it home with them from one of their patients. It think it helps us that we have a mentality that it will happen if it is going to happen and that beyond basic counter measures it is out of our control. Sorry I couldn't offer you more support.

There’s very few ASMR artist who can actually make me feel like there’s some real healing going on. Julia is one of them. She also has the edge on most content creators, because she is able to talk calmly and collected. A lot of people sound like they are reading a script or aren’t believable. She does such a great job creating a situation, that I calmly fade away in to a relaxed state and sleep.

Julia I’ve watched this video so often since I got into asmr in may. In February I survived a suicide attempt. It was horrible and scary and the pandemic happened just two weeks later so I feel as if I never got adequate time to recover. In April I had horrible horrible insomnia. I could just never sleep. I was miserable. I was so tired and empty and alone. I found ASMR and your videos and they have helped me so much. Being able to finally sleep at a normal time and getting a full nights sleep is so crucial for me to be able to heal from what happened in February and to be healthy. I work for a domestic violence service in my country. Dealing with people in distress (whether this manifests as; grief / loss, fear, aggression or something else) is chaotic. Its worse now due to lockdown - people trapped in homes with their abusers. I try really hard to assist those who call. By the end of my shift I feel battered and wrung out. Thank you Julia for creating an escape where i can decompress and let go. ASMR is such a relief for me. Your videos are like a mental massage, working out the knots in my mind, which allows me to get much needed rest and sleep. Thank you, with love and gratitude!

Hi Julia! I'm 21 years old and from the Philippines. The lockdown here is pretty strict so we can't go out unless there's an emergency. I thought the quarantine would give me more time to rest but honestly, as a person with OCD and Body Dysmorphia, it's been really hard being alone with my thoughts during silent times. It's been difficult to sleep thinking about my many relatives who are nurses, and what the future holds. Your channel has been such a blessing, and believe me when I say that your videos have got me out of the craziest panic attacks and have helped me sleep. A few days ago, my little brother woke up at 2am because he got scared so I followed one of your massages (I've replayed it way too much I kind of memorized the movements haha) and he got relaxed and went back to sleep after. Thank you for your kindness and empathy and creativity. You are a beautiful person and you deserve every bit of love in the world. ❤️✨

Today marks one year since my cat passed away. Last Friday was one year since my close friend took his life. It's been a really rough week and with everything else going on in the world it's all gotten to be too much for me. I know compared to others, I don't really have much place complaining about my lot in life, but your videos have helped me tremendously. Your presence is soothing and comforting when I feel totally alone. Thank you for all that you do and for all that you are, you are truly a beautiful human being and it radiates from you, this world is more beautiful for having you in it, Julia. x

Hey, I feel the same way. Things are awful right now and all I'm doing is drowning myself in mindless entertainment while curled up in my blankets, But, @DeathAngleZoe, tomorrow I'm going to get off my bed... and I'm going to start an art project. Because I feel like I need to space myself from my personal pleasures because all that their becoming is addictions. You and I can power through this if we strive to stay productive. Hang in there.

Overall I’ve been mentally ok during the quarantine, I find it as a blessing in disguise because I’m going a lot of things I normally wouldn’t have time for. But on the other hand I have asthma and it’s been acting up lately, tight chest and harder to breathe (not sure why, maybe because I’m in the house all day?). Been taking my meds and hope it gets better. :( I’m high risk for this virus so I really hope I don’t catch it. Anyways thank you for the video tonight

Livi170 hey I’m in the same boat as you asthma wise - been a lot worse since being stuck indoors - things that have helped me a bit have been keeping windows open during the day, vacuuming every other day & deep breathing exercises. I hope that might help you! Stay safe
