My weight loss odyssey has plateaued slightly the past couple weeks but watching Cody’s videos (even when he’s sick and/or baking a cake) continues to motivate me to keep going and trust the process. I’m down 147 pounds as of writing so I need to remember how far I’ve already come and not get down on myself when the scale doesn’t move as fast as it did before. I’m still getting faster and stronger with my workouts so performance continues to improve. Choo choo and congrats on the baby or whatever

Real quick, this week i finished the Chicago half marathon. I've trained for it for 8 months and I just want to say to Cody that this channel is more than just a fitness channel. It happens to be a realistic understanding of both the highs and lows one goes through when it comes to individual health. I've lost over 55 lbs on this journey and I just want to say thank you for posting and motivating all of us. Cody, you have single handely help change my life and perspective of what I want for my self. Not only that, but a couple of job opportunities have fallen in my lab and I'm just grateful for all of it. This year has been a very transformative one to say the least. Also, congrats on the pregnancy to the two of you. Also, shoutout to the community that has been encouraging me along the lay. Choo Choo!!!

Honestly, so encouraged to see that guy have a heart rate of 193 like that. My heart rate tends to be very high (in the 190's). With some slower zone 2 training I have started to bring it down a bit but even still. I was getting all worked up so I got my heart scanned, and regularly track it, and I am fine. Just nice to be reminded that we are all different and your normal can be much different than the "benchmark". I find 180's I am totally fine, and can still chat easy while running!

I noticed you get sick a lot (I do too!) This might sounds really weird, but I’d recommend going to an immunologist and having them run a pnemoccocal antibody blood panel. If your concentrations are low, you might be more susceptible to different common colds and illnesses! If they say you’re low, they’ll give you a pneumococcal vaccine and your levels should go up. Also, I’d recommend getting a Covid booster in 6 months once your resistance starts to dwindle after being sick these past few weeks, just so you don’t get Covid again! You reallyyyy don’t wanna be bringing it around a baby. Breathing treatments could help with any crud left over in your lungs, but I hope you heal up fully soon enough!

A couple weeks ago I started watching the channel and I bought some running shoes and have been absolutely loving it. Each day I feel more confident and these videos are like rocket fuel. I've been a fan for years, TMG subscriber since it started, it's about time I hop on the train. Choo Choo! P.S. Hey Cody, I just want to say thank you for all the amazing content. Not just on this channel, but on all of your channels. You entertain me every day of the week! I ran my first marathon 5 years ago when I was 18, and then just completely stopped running after that. I think my brain works in the same way as yours (or at least like how you've described it), where I need like a specific goal to motivate me to work out. This channel helped me find that motivation, and at the start of the year I decided to once again start training for a marathon. That marathon was yesterday, and unfortunately it didn't quite go as planned. I don't know if it was a mental thing, but I just simply couldn't run and was unable to complete it. Of course, I was pretty devastated afterwards: I've been training for months, and I think the stress just got to my head these last few weeks. BUT this time I'm not gonna call it quits and forget about running for the next 5 years. Seeing you improve but also struggling with training and motivation are a great reminder that everyone goes through ups and downs in training, and I think that's just what I need right now. So once again thank you - you keep me and a lot of other people going! (choo choo)

I am currently sidelined from training for the time being recovering from a lower back injury. Getting there day by day and was able to go for a walk without a walking stick for the first time in a week and a half this past Friday. The only thing keeping me motivated is that last year when I had a similar injury, it took me three weeks to even be able to sit and walk comfortably. The difference being that this year I am 10x more active than last year and have really dedicated 2023 to training. I feel better about myself and about life with many less aches and pains. The Cody Trains channel and community are a big part of the boost I've had in recent months. Choo choo! Also: That cake looks fucking bomb. Happy birthday, Kelsey!

Hey Cody, love your channel (and Kelsey's) but this channel has motivated me even more to be physically active, EVERYDAY. I was a collegiate athlete, waterpolo, so the disciplined life style of waking up being active getting your work done and incorporating a recovery means a lot to me. It's nice to watch other people training and working hard for their own indepandent goals. Working out inspires friends and strangers around you. Id like to say I feel I have the same impact on my community around me and I enjoy seeing that from an outside perspective and having my own new motivator. Keeping training, harder than the day before. oxo

cody, after months of watching your videos and feeling more and more inspired, i finally downloaded 'couch to 5k' which is an app from our nhs in the uk that takes you through 9 weeks of excerises to get you to be able to run a 5k. i'm on my second week and i am so proud of myself. i never thought i was a running type of girl, i do 10 mins of yoga everyday and walk to and from places but actual intense exercises? i always thought that they were never for me and it was so unachievable. but that first week of doing short 20 minute exercises made me feel like i can actually do something that i thought i couldnt. i'm now excited to go out and try the next run, this week it is 90 second runs with 2 minute walking intervals, its hard for me but so gratifying when i actually complete it. thank you for uploading these videos showing that exercise isnt just about the activity but how it can fulfil you. choo choo all the way baby!!!

Absolutely love the training vids cody!! especially when your genuine lifestyle is documented in conjunction with the fitness/running content. As an ex prof athlete (both long and sprint backstroke and long distance freestyle) i became incredibly ill about 5 years ago and couldn't continue with my athletic courier. My illness lead me into a deep dark place as i could no longer utilise my body in ways that i once had; the ways that kept me mentally thriving which in turn lead me to develop an eating disorder (AN) and i have been emaciated to the point of countless extended hospital admissions. As of my last admission i found this channel (as a long time fan of your other content - personal and TMG) and upon discharge i became particularly enthralled by your motivation and dedication despite the challenges and business of your life. Now as of present day the content you produce on this channel is like my cup fo coffee in the morning; it now not only motivates me to push myself and explore physical movement (juts yoga and gentle pilates at the moment) after years of laying dormant and depressed but is a great representation of what is attainable whilst living a happy and healthy life with those i love. Cheers Code and all the best wishes to you and kelsie in your future endeavours as parents. love an Aussie fan :))
