one question. at 11:23 ish, when you destroy the platform, how can you keep the wall that is in the middle? So if I place 2 platforms and one wall in middle, how can I say the wall is a child actor for both platforms and you have to get rid of both to destroy it? Also if I destroy one platform and the wall stays cause it still connected to the other platform, and I place another platform down again, how can I make the existing wall a child of new platform? Ya I know, I'm getting to detailed, just throwing it out, maybe you can conjure up another video from my question :) Again. keep up the great work, your awesome!

Later in the series we will get to saving, the child parent system will be changed a bit. We will use line traces to detect parents. That should answer and solve your question.

Hey, is there any tutorials implementing survival series, with building system? Also do you know when the widget for building video will launch? And could you make it linked to an item, as an hammer in the inventory?

Will those references to the children actors still be valid after a SaveGame save and load? I suspect not.

You are right, these will not. Once we will get to saving and loading, we will change the code a little bit by adding some traces to detect whats holding the build.

I was like: I wanna make a game, where you can build your own and destroy your enemies base. Should i use unreal or unity? I wonder if there are any tutorials there, let me search
