@Miles Doyle Well, I'll tell you something, I'm a Joshua myself and I couldn't give any less of a shit about repenting. What's happened and will happen, has happened and will happen. I accept my responsibility for my actions but your god will accept the responsibility for his actions that have sent me down my path in turn. God is flawed, and so is Jesus. Without Satan to gift you the sin of knowledge, you would still be subservient and you wouldn't know who your god is. Your god doesn't want you to be of free will or to be intelligent. You've evolved because of Satan and time to be intelligent and you still squander that gift to preach to people who have no obligation to belong to your faith just because you waste away practicing at being pastor. If you believe God loves you, or cares for any of us, then you're mistaken. The only thing you should believe in fully to protect you from all things is yourself.

Daniel Radcliff was 10 when they filmed Sorcerer's Stone, and 20 when they filmed Deathly Hallows. So he was always pretty close to the age he was playing. 20 when he was playing 17 was the biggest age gap, which isn't too bad. The reason they keep sending Harry home to the Dursleys is, they are his only living relatives. There's a special magical protection around that house, because he is living with those last blood relatives. Voldemort, or anyone in his service, cannot even approach that house, as long as Harry returns there at least once a year, until he turns 17. 17 is considered a grown man by Wizard standards. The movies never explain this fully, so it's not really a spoiler, unless you plan to read the books. Even then, this is only a minor spoiler. So, he may be miserable living with his aunt and her husband, but he's safer there than anywhere, even Hogwarts. And when the greatest dark wizard in a century is gunning for you, that kind of protect is kinda, sorta, super necessary.

What the movies do not tell you (but the books do) is that there are powerful protective spells on the Dursley’s home. For these spells to work, he must live with a blood relative - Aunt Petunia. He is protected this way until his 17th birthday, which is only hinted at in part 1 of the Deathly Hallows. Spoiler ahead: In that movie, HP is moved to a new place before his birthday. The Dursleys are also relocated for their safety. One reason why young HP keeps winning against Voldemort is that his parents placed strong protective spells on him before they died. It is hinted that the special ingredient in those protective charms is parental love, something Voldemort never knew and doesn’t understand.

We get more details in the book - we nearly miss it but when they leave the Burrow to get the train Ginny suddenly screams that she'd forgotten her diary. After Mrs Norris the cat was found people notice that she's upset but they figure it's because she likes cats. As the book goes on she starts getting upset really easily and becomes really jumpy and pale, and near the end of the book when they find out that the mandrake potion will be ready soon she's looking terrible and tells Ron and Harry that she needs to tell them something but Percy interrupts her (he thinks she's going to tell them that she found out he has a girlfriend - something Fred and George were very pleased to hear as they were running out of things to tease him about). Tom tells us more how it happened - she'd been writing in the diary what most people write about, their concerns, their fears, their secrets, their problems and even though he found them boring he was 'patient' and wrote back, being 'kind' and 'sympathetic' to her problems making her trust him (he mocked her in front of Harry, imitating her writing "No one understands me like you Tom, I'm so glad I've found this diary, it's like having a little friend I can carry around in my pocket"). He always knew how to put the charm on when he needed to, especially around his teachers when he was at Hogwarts, though he never tried it with Dumbledore as he did with the others, he knew that Dumbledore never found him trustworthy like everyone else did. So Ginny kept on writing to him, not realising that she was making him stronger as by continuously writing to him she was basically 'putting a bit of her soul into him', till he was strong enough to 'put a bit of his soul into her', basically possessing her so that he could do things like strangle Hagrid roosters and leave the messages in blood and release the Basilisk and set it on on the muggle born students. Afterwards he'd retreat into the diary and Ginny would wake up with no memory of what she'd been doing the last few hours. Naturally she was upset when she realised that every time that happened there was an attack. By the end she was too weak to resist Tom, he was basically controlling her and forced her to write her farewell message.

I know right? This is the reason why I got into the whole witches/wizards fantasy thing because of the whole lawlessness of the wizarding world and how the lore gets into Azkaban prison and werewolves, I mean fantastic beasts did a good job at laying down the foundation of the early days (rules and laws regarding magic) but holy fuck I'd hate to be a wizard during the whole war for Hogwarts era just to see homies dying left and right, in all honesty I'd probably just get a steel yard job or something ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@0v_x0
@0v_x0 2 жыл бұрын
@@tysonellis1172 use mutability spells to become an amazing metal and glass worker, live on an island and sell super fancy trinkets to rich muggles, lol. Though the whole looming of ultimate evil thing might make even that life stressful... But in seriousness #3 is where the series really hits stride, at least with the movies. You get the last humourous Dursleys scene to start, then things rapidly start to get real, the twist/reveal in #3 is so good, and the ante goes up. The quidditch match in the rain among other visual aids like the color balancing in many scenes really emphasizes this. By the end of movie 4 the stakes are all on the table and it's like damn, it's really on now; no more whimsical child like wonder at magic existing, it's about using it as a tool to survive, along with wits and friends, it's a great development arc and a little whimsical still, until the end. It's a great arc to have grown up with, being only a couple years older than the characters (at least when I read the first three books in one weekend, lol). I felt like I outgrew them by the sixth or seventh movie, and hadn't had a chance to read the last two books, so I never ended up reading or watching the conclusion. I went back and watched the movies recently, though, including the last three, and enjoyed them all from an adult prospective without having ever read the last books. It would be a commitment to revisit all the books, but I always found them more satisfying back then, or at least felt like they were necessary to really enjoy the movies, because they spend so much more time really detailing the immersion in that world, especially that growing feeling of wonder from the first book of discovering the wizarding world along with a character nearly my age, which takes all of twenty minutes or so in the film. But now that I've forgotten most of the books beyond basic plot points, the movies were still coherent enough on their own to enjoy, despite not knowing what to expect in the last three movies, even if they doubtlessly rush through some things like the others. It all still ties together very well, if being a bit more demanding of the first time viewer to grasp the world in minutes rather than the hours and many chapters of the books. Anyway, yeah the tragedy and urgency really ramps up from the end of goblet of fire (which is also the first pg-13 film in the series IIRC), practically to the very end of the series save for the brief ending and epilogue. Maybe I will just go back and read the last two books, rather than re approach the whole series, I'm kind of curious how the transition of the story through the climax is defined, I did wish there was more to the actual aftermath of the final confrontation in the movie. Also curious about the backstory in half blood prince in more detail (Snape and Dumbledore in particular). I'm rambling yet another really long comment on KZfaq though, lol; be well and thanks for the food for thought.

I just realized.....Burkes is literally THE DOUBLE AGENT that NO ONE realizes. He's supposed to be a Death Eater, and big supporter/follower of Voldemort. Yet, I just just realized: When he stops Harry and asks, "Are you LOOKING for something?" Harry's scar was completely visible. Burkes would've seen it, and KNOWN demo who he was. And you know that from how he stopped Harry and the tone of his question that he KNEW Harry has been present to that interaction. And then....proceeds to tell no one.

I always break up the Harry Potter movies in 3 groups for how they feel. First 2 are like the happy, good feeling one's. 3,4,5 are the cool action, darker story lines, struggles of growing up, dating, falling in love, dealing with death. In the last 3 movies storyline gets darker again and more deep, and there in life and death situations quite a bit more and not just in school and some real cool stuff 😎 🤙

About what you said in the beginning, it's kinda like a boarding school in that you spend the school year in the school and for your summer break and sometimes Christmas break you spend at home with your family. Unfortunately Harry had to return to dursleys. !!! Also Harry has an enchantment on him, so that as long as he has a place to call home with a blood relative he is protected from harm (Voldemort, Voldemort followers). Hope you read this. Love your content Leo ❤️ Just to add aswell, the movies get better a slightly more dark theme to them as they grow up

Fun Fact guys - the musical score for the first three movies were composed by John Williams, who is legendary for scorring Star Wars and creating the iconic 1977 Superman theme, along with such themes as Indiana Jones. If anyone ever "feels" the emotional impact from the first three movies music, this is why. John Williams is very good at creating a musical/emotional connection that's just "real." The scenes and music blend so well when he Scores a film. Even George Lucas has said that sometimes Williams will make a piece of music so perfect that you don't even need Dialogue to convey the emotion.

Dumbledore did see them in a manner of speaking. All magic leaves traces, even cloaks leave traces and he knows how to find em, especially if he knows exactly what trace he’s either looking for or in something around him gives off the trace he recognizes. He knew about the cloak since he gave it to him the Christmas in the first movie, thusly knowing the trace it gives, and easily spotting the location of the two invisobois.

😂 Hermione always knows stuff the others don't because she obsesses & reads way ahead in her books, memorizing everything she can as fast as she can. She has a complex about proving how smart she is & once she discovered she was magical & would now be going to a magic school she poured all that effort into her magical learning too.

This movie looks miles better than the first, not just the CG, everything. I really dig this one. The kids are more comfortable in their roles, and they look suitably just a year older, before they started shooting up like a beanstalk due to the movies taking longer to come out. My favorite movies are a toss up between 2 and 3. If I want more color I go with 2, if I'm feeling moodier I go with 3. These are the only one's I'll watch outside of a binge.

Love ya Leo. Keep it up! Harry Potter is a fun series. Probably been said before in comments, but you’ll notice some changes in the next film. Not only does the story begin going down a darker path, but there were directors changes for many of the films. The actor for Dumbledore also passed away after filming this movie, so the actor changes for 3-7, and he’s different.
