The Gulf of Mexico is like a box of chocolates, you never know what ya gonna get. Red snapper, triggerfish, vermilion snapper, mangroves….etc we caught it all. In this video we head out about 25-30 miles south of dauphin island for some rod bending action. Free lining dead Pogies, bottom fishing with squid, and chunking for mangrove snapper did the trick for all these species of fish. Always a great time out on the big pond. Hope y’all enjoy the video and leave a like and a comment if you would. Helps out a lot, thanks. We are almost to 2k subscribers!

Actually quickly becoming one of my favorite channels. Just seem like a guy I’d like to fish with. I like the diversity of the stuff you do. You always cover enough tackle and rig setup info so we can pick up pointers, but without it be obtrusive and killing flo of video. You basically have same boat and setup that I have, so also have a kinship with that. Keep doing you.

I think you're doing a great job with the videos. You have a good mix of fishing action, some information on the equipment and techniques you're using, and some good shots of the scenery on your way out and back in. Of course, I'm a little biased, because I have the same boat as you. So I like seeing you and your crews putting it to good use on a regular basis.

Nice day of fishing and there's a few fish that I haven't caught yet In my entire life of fishing as well. Marlins, tunas, snook, and filefish. and I've been out on the Gulf nearly 3 months @ a time straight. On offshore crewboats & offshore tugs. But those fish I've named I should have had no problem of catching them because I've been on one end of the Gulf to the other end still no luck with them. Now as for the snook I was on a offshore tug hauling propane fuel to Tampa Bay I was in snook Ville lol everyone I saw fishing had caught Snooks but. Not me I was working 21 on 14 off & on my days on we had a week layover in Tampa I had that same job for nearly a year and still no snook I gave up lol I said I'm just gonna put that one in my bucket list & still today I'm in my late 50s now no Marlins no tuna no filefish and no snook. It's been about 6 years since I walked away from my normal job nearly my entire life.living in the sticks of Mississippi with my wife. She's fighting stage 4 cancer that's why I walked away from my job we had & still don't have family or friends to help out when needed. So we're on our own and not giving up. 🙏 I'm from. Daulphin island. & daulphin. Island Parkway ( D.I.P ) & dog river erea. It's been awhile since I've walked the sandy beaches and wet a hook in salt or brackish waters but it brings joy to me to be able to watch y'all fish thank you for the ride along to watch fishing that I love to do. Keep up the great work and fish on brothers.

I've got to figure out how to chum for snapper like you do. Have you ever thought of going on someone else's boat and letting them pay you. I'd pay you to go out on mine and show me the ropes on some of the tactics you use and show me how to dial my garming depthfinder in. Bottom fishing is easy but gets boring. I'd love a video on how to rig and fish slow and fast pitch jigs.

I do plan on doing some more how to vids, especially with rigging and depth finder so be on the lookout! I didn't care for filefish. Got excited the first one I caught but it just doesn't hold a candle to the trigger. A trigger that size will give you a giant fillet and throat. Those filefish are just too thin. That is my opinion and you know what they say about opinions. You are just killing me with the black snapper. Man those were pretty mingos. Sure wish you could have caught them on video. We went last night, [aug 4] got the crap beat out of us for 16 miles for four blacks. We have been doing good with the night fishing but that was a clinker.
