5 ай бұрынWe took our chances and got in touch with Sanjo Seisakusho in Niigata Japan on a trip in Summer 2023. we finally managed to put all bits and peaces together and bring out this video. Basically we came to see how it looks like in famous Mizuochi Sans and Apprentice Inagakis Workshop in Sanjo. In the End Mizuochi asked us to start making our own Kamisori or basically a part of the process. We ended up forge welding the 4g light peace of Hagane (high carbon steel) to the soft steel (Jigane).
And Yes, you can buy Iwasaki razors on our website - of course the ones Mizuochi and Inagaki made :)

I didn’t ask him, back then, still exhausted from the high temperatures in his workshop I was happy to finally be able to sit. Please guess from the stone colour. It was a finishing stone the last step was the diamond paste on a piece of silk. He used quite a lot actually. We later had a conversation about a finish after the diamond paste. He told me that his master tried some powders on a glass plate but it was too much dirt. We use as a last finish, before we just strop it on leather, a strop with iron oxide, also quite a mess but a really smooth finish.
