Brahms is amazing. The mantle of Beethoven was cast upon him and he grudgingly was like ugh, okay. And then he did it.

That mantle was quite a bit in the symphonic world. That’s where Brahms felt totally inadequate to supersede Beethoven as he didn’t write his first symphony until the age of 41. That must be some kind of pressure!

Possibly one of the greatest Opus 1's of all time. I would have loved to have been a fly-on-the-wall when the young Johannes Brahms performed this piece for Robert & Clara Schumann.

Замечательное исполнение этой Сонаты Брамса, "когда он был виртуозом" Большое спасибо.Эта Соната Вами исполнена на Kawai, а на каком рояле вы записали Большую Сонату Шумана? Спасибо за ответ.
