I just can't stop listening to this. Wonderful combination of instruments, excellent musicians, and a gorgeous piece by someone I've never heard of (I'm now a fan).

Welcome! You have begun a path that will reveal some of the most inspiring violin music ever written and all the more exciting considering when it was written. There are countless excellent albums, but Andrew Manze is a great place to start. However, as a recorder player myself, I have been not only inspired to get out some Schmelzer and my instrument as I feel my heart profoundly moved. I'm unable to do this video justice with my description in words.

Splendid, perfect interpretation, It is perhaps this performance that best explores the full "meaning" of the Schmelzer's piece.

The Ganassi has a very bright and strong tone, almost strident, and is not to be played by the fainthearted.

I thought it worked beautifully here. Any idea who many this recorder?

Does Jornet play the Cornet? Also, I like how she beautifully takes advantage of those large holes for dynamic variation. I'm so envious. If only I hadn't been injured in that hurdy-gurdy accident. Let's just say I still have hurdy but less gurdy.

Vickie Starbuck It is a soprano recorder in C Ganassi built by Monika Musch. Silvestro Ganassi was a theorist WHO in 1535 published a book about recorder playing and playing diminutions. This book was called the Fontegara. In this book I describe several kinds of recorders and systems Also different fingering These recorders are playing. The soprano in c "and the Old in g 'based on the templates of Fred Morgan. Based on an alto recorder in the Museum in Vienna (Nr. 8522).
