Like I explain in the end of the video, I’d like to start incorporating some like goals, but not in a way that halts the series until a goal is met. It’s something I want to start doing so if many are excited for a series, then I’ll do a little extra of it that week. Likes are also beneficial to the channel to keep bringing in new viewers.

***spoiler alert*** Week 1: North Texas @ Kalispell Warhawk Stadium Time: 2:30 PM Network: CBS Sports Network | Commentators: John Sadak/ Randy Cross Final Score: North Texas- 6 Kalispell- 16 It was an offseason of change for the Kalispell Warhawks, now in their 5th season with their football program. Their original recruit class graduated, and defensive coordinator Jonathan Starks left to go to the national champions Oklahoma Sooners, forcing the Kalispell Athletic Director to hire Mark Owens for the position. Owens was the head coach at Kalispell High School for 8 years and was heavily considered and vetted for the head coaching role ultimately filled by Leon Daniels. Owens' first move was to move Kelly Jean-Charles from FS to SS. Owens, who coached Kelly for 4 years at Kalispell HS, wanted Kelly to be in a better position to use his ball-hawking skills and return to his elite level of play that led him to being ranked the #2 FS in the country his senior year. The move so far has looked ingenious, as Kelly had 2 interceptions today versus North Texas en route to a 16-6 win, largely behind stellar play from the defense now coached by Owens. It remains to be seen how this defense will play against tougher opponents, or whether Kelly can continue his improved play at an unfamiliar position, but next week Kalispell faces Buffalo at home, in what looks like an even matchup on paper.

TIP: Offensive Lineman, as well as DT are very easy to scout. Search the position by bench press, the ones with the best bench press tend to be gems. I got 3 80 overall O Lineman during a season, and all of them were 3 stars.

jean charles reminds me alot of malik hooker, slow start to his career due to his basketball background but once he started learning the game more he began to ball. #KJC

I know Battle was cery innacurate to start but at some point you have to trust Battle or you will set a record for sacks in a season. A six yard slant on first down is great.

The oline is looking bad I would definitely make that a recruiting priority

Also with KJC’s 2 INTs that already gives him just as many picks on his career as Jay Page, just Incase anyone was wondering :) Also a Cane fun fact: The most INTs any of his players have had is Kyle Nichols from UTSA with 20 in his career. Nate Bell is in second with 18

On that play where you collide with Sheridan before you can fully drop back, hot route him to a normal pass block or split him out wide so the play can work properly. That exact thing happened to me a lot before I tried tactics to get around it. I love that play since it's a good quick hitter, most often to the TE or slot, and with guys like Donnie and Daye, this offense would rather like that play to work properly.

You cannot hate Sheridan's effort. Inside run is going to suffer this year. Unfortunate, because I thought Sheridan would rush for close to 1700 this year. Forgot about all of the graduating o line.

Mason Fine played high school football at Locust Grove High School. 3A school in Oklahoma. I went to Claremore Sequoyah High School and we played him his junior and senior year. Junior year he threw for 75 TDs and 6500 yards in 12 games. Senior year was a "disappointing" year as he threw for 56 TDs and 5300 yards in 11 games. The man was a beast

Was so entertaining to watch Kalispell have a good defense. Great work keep doing what your doing! And don't give up on Lamaar Williams.

so excited for this season

For how this one turned out, this offense is still a work in progress, but I was 100% right about the defense. I said earlier that the defense would keep the team in games the offense struggles in and they did exactly that in this one, even if it was North Texas. By the time we reach the midway point, I think we'll start to see this team really hit its stride and it should be a lot of fun to watch.

13:33 was the most obvious throw away situation ever

I don't see this team winning without a player to boost morale like Minnesota had a couple years back with Leon Daniels

Loved how the team looked so far, besides the o-line, JR Battle looks promising!

I'm glad to see my man KJC step up, too bad Kalispell couldn't woo Sidney. Those two on the same team would be unstoppable!

Going to take some time for the offense to be explosive with the new scheme but they will be explosive. Kelly Jean Charles Experiment at Strong Safety looks like it's working right now. Hope he keeps it up and he earned the NCAA Player of the Week also.

I know it was one game but as someone who was really hyped for Lamar Williams I don't think I could be more disappointed with his performance.

Daye's career to this point has been low-key very disappointing.

Cane, I might recommend going to a Pistol/Shotgun quick passing offense, similar to Washington State. It would give Battle time in the pocket otherwise wasted in the dropback. Also, we've seen that Sheridan is a much better runner from the Gun.

Don't switch away from battle yet. When he had time he threw good passes. I would like to see Miller get some more carries!

I don't know if you still read these but the SS is more of a pass coverage spot do to that they line up on the strong side of the offense (which is the side with the TE or the most WR, FS is more of the run stopper.

I like it. Probably need to run on 2nd down a little more to prevent potential 3rd and longs

I think you’re still trying to hard to move around in the pocket with Battle. It’s hard going from a mobile qb to a pocket passer but I would try and go for more of a short, quick passing game until your comfortable using battle as a pocket qb. Short passes let you get used to not being able to move around as much. All in all though, good win

Crazy to think how bad the defense was in year 1. You have come a long way. Stick with the timing-based passing game, it should improve as time goes on.

The defense is looking great. Maybe just because it was against North Texas (I'm saying that as if they didn't beat me in my Dynasty) but North Texas was forced to throw early, and Fine started forcing the ball down the field which lead to the two INTs by KJC. I feel like the Kalispell secondary is gonna be fine even with Davenport gone. Offensively, Battle is gonna struggle a bit from the jump because he's such a different style from Marquice Walker so it will be an adjustment, especially with the defense being so much different. But as long as the running game develops the Warhawks offense will be good too. Battle has a lot of weapons so he is set up for success. Do you guys notice a weird "glitch" in the game where WRs drop the ball at a weirdly high rate on 3rd down, but not on 4th? I go for it on 4th a lot and have noticed the qb is more accurate and the WR have a better catch rate on 4th. Its weird

My advice is hold back on the short dropback plays such as slants out of the single back set, they seemed to lead to a lot of unnecessary sacks

Battle is a pocket QB which means he needs to be keying on his checkdowns... watch the running backs and the tight ends more... you had Castillo open on under routes quite a bit.

Brett Mitchell needs to start next week against Buffalo. Then everyone can compare the two quarterbacks based on their game, the winner gets to be the starter

I think u should slow down the chargers series more and do more ncaa because they are more fun to watch and they are more entertaining to watch to . Thanks hurricane be a fan for a while now . Hope u listen to my comment and keep up the good work

You need to run a cheifs like offense, just game mange and play behind the defense. Maybe Brett Mitchell should play because he's a more like Alex smith type qb. Maybe play a two qb system and go with the hot hand
