El Shanks Because the subs are the same subs used when you watch the Japanese version, it’s a direct translation. When the dubbers make the dub they change the words around so that the lips match for a better viewing experience.

@@saulgoodman9449 it's difficult. He's in a bad spot because he's the weakest hanma blood but he's stronger than everyone else that got clapped in the tournament. So he's going to fall in the just below pickle range but his arc is coming next and I didn't read the manga so who knows. Might be time jumps or large periods of space between arcs. With musashi first born, that is 4 years after the tournament, right after yujiro and Baki fight and everyone is bored.

My favorite aspect of the style for their eyes is that it serves a purpose, it isn’t just for show. When it’s all white it shows focus and when they have that red glow they have killing intent. Since it’s Baki we can assume with Jack’s character the man even did face crunches to get his facial muscles so strong and expressive

Fun Fact: It's been pretty much canon that Jacks Biting is his strongest and deadliest move. And he didn't use it of Sikorsky in this fight. Meaning was going much easier on him than everyone might think. Cause if Jack ain't biting, he ain't really taking you seriously.

It's strange, but I've always felt like the Baki series made their characters into INCREDIBLY masculine and testosterone filled monsters, but their faces were often very cutesy/pretty. Like when Jack throws Sikorsky, his face almost looks cute. Very interesting art style.
