Hey, thanks for watching and commenting. There’s a larger than normal group of younger dancers that are excited about Country Dancing right now. They are finding their way and they’re doing their own thing. We didn’t want to stifle their enthusiasm by limiting them to one particular style. The hope is to have them see the benefits of more orthodoxed styles and move forward in their dance journey. This was a 5 week contest with 4 weeks of prelims where leaders and followers were rewarded on their individual performances and they rotated throughout the contests. It is customary once couples rotate in the finals to be judged as a couple as each of the dancers earned their way there. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@DAmicoDanceHouston why do you reply with a NO? i would reply with a qualified " yes"... its what I find at a social club dancing. I saw these cw elements: a line of dance, counter clockwise floor movement, some qqssqqss footwork, and 6 count patterns. At a club level, most partner dances have spins, dips, and 6 count patterns, salsa, wcs, ballroom.. But what other forms offer the line of dance and circular floor work?
