Just purchased a Jackery 240 to run my CPAP machine incase we lose power. I had to buy a 12 volt cord for the CPAP. It powered my machine for 16 hours and charged my iPhone over the last 2 nights. I still had 50% charge left in the battery. I did not use the heater on the CPAP. Really impressed.

My harbor freight solar panel is rated for 100W and regularly pulls 120W. You can even find videos on here of people pulling more than their panels are rated for.

Hi, Thank you for explaining the Jackery 240, in a very clear and simply way. I just ordered my Jackery; 240 and I wasn't sure how to use it and what panel to order. After seeing your video, I feel more confident in the battery that, I have picked and in using my Jackery more efficiently. Thanks again 👍

I'm thinking of doing a little Nomading and wanted to know if I'd need a solar panel along with a jackery to start out with. I see if I want to go cheap there is a way to charge the jackery without solar however, I see the great advantages of solar plus jackery together. I really enjoyed your clear and straightforward explanation of this system and it was just what I wanted to know. Thanks!

I have the Jackery and the Anker Powerhouse. The Jackery is better in my opinion. More rugged and a better value. It powered a 200 watt light and the Powerhouse shut down. Jackery has just introduced a more powerful 440 version. This is the perfect size for a quick grab and go power outlet. Nice video!

Wow, just got mine yesterday. Bought the boundel package on Amazon, with the 60 watt panel, and bag set up 499. Very happy with it. Came 35% charged. Out in the desert sun I got 50% input for a few minutes, then dropped down to a steady 48-47 input pure sun. Got into the 70% range real fast, but had to go in. Off wall if was way slower 35% and hour or more to finish off. It has limits and it can not run a space heater in a tent... But man, if candle light can warm a tent, then why not make a safe electric type radiant with a small watt draw, just to warm a tent, or sleeper inside a camper. Wow, think of the units you would sell huh. That would be cool.

Hey, great review, thank you! I have a tec question maybe u could help. We left the Jackery 240’s Outlet switch on in its back going on a 4 hour journey (nothing was plugged in) We when we got to our destination and took it out of the bag it was very warm / hot & both fans was running ! The fans would have struggled to get air for whatever length they were on. Any idea if the heat was coming from the battery, the inverter or the fans them selfs? As far as we knew there was a cut off built into it so I’m wondering why it wouldn’t have shut down ? I reset the battery and it appears to be working 100% , surprisingly fans seem fine etc. Thanks in advance

So instead of using a 120V wall outlet to charge, you could use the enclosed car charger and plug this into your cigarette lighter, drive for 4 to 8 hours on the road and have it fully charged by the time you reach your destination? I assume I could use this to power an electric blanket for sleeping in the car at night and have my phone plugged in also for an overnight charge?

I bought a jackery 240 about 3 weeks ago and I've noticed something that I may just be overthinking about, and I'm trying to get other owners of the 240's opinion. I've noticed that when watching videos here on KZfaq that on some units, even like the 500 and 300 when you plug in charger to charge that the light is blue when charging and turns green when done. I've never saw a detailed video on the 240 to see if it acts the same when its done charging. Mine never turns green. It will charge up to 100% and the watts will taper down, slowly going to zero and the charger box even gets cold, from not pushing out anymore power, but the light never turns green, it always stays blue. The unit seems to function fine, and I even left it plugged up for like 12 hours just to make sure, but it never changes to green, it stays blue. Can anyone else who owns a 240 confirm if theirs stays blue or does turn green? Like I say, any other time I wouldn't think anything of it, but it's got me questioning why the 240 stays blue but the other units turn green when done

The Resmed Air 9&10 series uses 24 volts, so they need a special DC power cord to convert the 12v battery power to 24 volts. CPAP.com $95 !!! If you CPAP is 12v, it's just plug and play.

I am glad to see companies are trying to get people into solar. However this product for me is overpriced. I can build this for a fraction of the price. And I know not everyone can, but 250 sounds way out there for the bank, but then $199 for a 50 watt panel? A 50 watt regular panel costs about 60, and a 12v to 5v adapter costs cents on ebay. What is in that panel of theirs that makes it almost 3 times as much? Just too much for me, but for someone who wants a profuct that just works out of the box? This might be for them. Your review was good! I would like to see ya be nit-picky in some way though. You can't be completely happy with it, if ya didnt test all the outputs, ya know? By the way, I cane across this video because youtube recommended it to me. So congrats! You are getting out there! Keep up the great work!

I have the Jackery 240 and the Jackery Solar Saga 60. When using the solar Saga 60 I get between 45w and 55w. I do live at around 8000ft above sea level. When I bought it in early 2020 every review out there said that all charging is capped at 40w. The 12 V and AC charging IS capped at 40w, but it was nice to find out after using it that solar charging is not capped at 40w. At 55w it takes about 4 hours to charge.

This does not work for CPAP. If you use the 12V outlet for CPAP. It will shut off after 4 hours. Do not use this for CPAP with 12V

how bout the 440 jackery unit?
@Wbl17
@Wbl17 4 жыл бұрын
@@welcometoreality3450 I talked with Jackery and apparently it is the same on all units. Anything below 10W it will shut off after (they say 5 hours. It happened just after 4 hours for me) its a great little unit. But it just wont work for CPAP for me. I guess unless you just sleep in 4-5 hr burst. This really wont work for CPAP. I did not try the 110V side. They told me that safety feature was built into both 12V and 110V. Kind of defeats the purpose of turning off the humidity and others to save power. And get more nights out of it. Hope this helps

To everybody who wants to camp out ,I just got back from Northern Michigan sleeping in a tent for 5 days and 4 nights. We did not have a generator and I have to sleep with my C-PAP MACHINE to get any sleep at all. I have a marine battery (Which I bought at Walmart) and an inverter with the alligator clips, that connects to the battery terminals. The weather ranged from low 40's to the High 20's the 5 days we stayed there. If you turn off your humidifier but keep it filled with distilled water during your sleep you'll still get some humidity. I sat my battery on a blanket folded up so it wasn't sitting on the tent floor which was cold until we fired up the kerosene heater. My battery tester showed 100% when I left home and I wasn't sure if I could get 4 nights of sleeping with the battery charging my C-PAP MACHINE. The battery did just fine, and when I got home my brother said I have got to see how much energy you got left in your battery. I plugged it in to my charger and it read 50%. That's amazing. I TRIED TO KEEP MY BATTERY UNPLUGGED DURING THE DAYS WHEN WE WERE GONE HUNTING, AND COVERED UP TO KEEP THE BATTERY AS WARM AS POSSIBLE .Hope this helps someone.
