The ice retention may be similar. But the actual quality and life of the coolers just don’t compare when put against a YETI.

I like the lifetime. You can bring frozen venison from Michigan to Phoenix with dry ice and for 4-5 day drive remains frozen

I haven’t tried the Sven. Fell in love with a silky. I’ve tried and love the x15. It makes ax work faster and easier than any other I’ve tried. That center of lance is right where I want it.

No one can deny the toughness of a Becker knife, but it doesn’t make a lot of sense that we have to give such an expensive price for a knife and then change it sheath. It’s handles, and in some cases even recoat the blade.

Awesome review and comparison! & that’s being said after having watched a ton of Shiftpod videos on KZfaq. Thanks for setting up both tents to get temperature data, and giving a better visual of the usable space inside!

Good demo. I thought it was funny that the area was so desolate, without any trees or bushes and you had a bunch of firewood.

I just bought a Lifetime 55 yesterday and it weighs a ton. Do Yeti, Rtic and others weigh as much? I need to be able to move this thing once i fill it with ice and drinks and I am afraid once i fill it that will be a back breaking effort. No wheels on the 55.

I think the test was great. My only comment is that it wasn't all that fair for Yeti. Same amount of ice give to all coolers but the Yeti was bigger which means it had more open space. It should have been a ratio of ice:size

Idea for better results. I would be interested to see a test outside and even in sun for a true test. Most people aren’t conserved with their beverage heating up in a climate controlled environment. Could the results possibly differ in a warmer ambient temp?? Oh how I wonder.

I just happen to see a video of these two vehicles that caught on fire and literally burned to the ground but one of the vehicles had a lifetime cooler inside the vehicle when they went to look they opened up the cooler and all the things inside were still good and the ice was still in there. To me that sold me on the lifetime cooler I’m going out to buy one of those. American made baby🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

as someone who catches fresh bait when i can and keeps it on ice for up to 5 days i can tell you these tests are decent but they need improvement.. they all have a drain for a reason. so ya water with ice is bad. to make the ice last long time you have to drain the water. so i think you should retest it and drain the water at least once a day or twice a day into a cup and then you can see which one is producing the most water daily. but ya each of these last longer then my cheap one. i try to drain it at least once a day if not twice. but im thinking of getting the lifetime its cheap and my cheap ones dont have drains so that will make draining it a lot easier and they all look like they keep the ice longer then the cheap ones. but still the cheap ones i have at least do the job just not as good. the yeti is a waste of money if you ask me.

LiFe POR lithium batteries have come down in price. They weigh about half as much as18 ah lead acid batteries and have much higher amp hour capacity. I plan to use two 12 volt 30 amp hour Life POR batteries in parallel, connected to the ResMed DC/DC converter to run my AirSense 10 CPAP during power outages and while RVing. These batteries require a special charger.
