hullooooooo finally uploading a vid woooooooo. If y'all saw my doll repaint supply and doll haul from a couple months back then you may know that I picked up 2 of the rainbow high dolls! sunny madison and poppy rowan. Ive been wanting to paint one of them for months and finally got around to it. anyway, hope you guys enjoy!

tiny brushes:
-princeton velvettouch round 20/0(my fav)
-wargamer "the psycho" army painter brush (its actually called the psycho, this ones quite good. its not as stiff as the one above so i find i have a little less control but its still a nice brush for details)
-arteje 100/0 camlon micro paint brush( this ones quite a bit stiffer than the other two but its a super tiny brush. its a bit hard to control but probably the finest brush i have)
I use a liquid brush shaper i got from blick awhile ago with all these brushes. this has really helped me with their longevity and keeping their shape which is kind of difficult with really fine brushes.

for anyone curious, 18 to 20 mm eyes/ eye molds work best on rainbow high. anything smaller gives that wild eye look XD

I'm absolutely obsessed with the rainbow high dolls. I don't own any yet, but I've been watching doll customizations of them and I'm in love. Their body types are just the freaking cutest thing I've ever seen. I love how chubby they look, and I just....I'm obsessed. This was a wonderful custom as well, I'm excited to see more in the future 🖤

We literally screamed when we saw this doll! She is beyond cute and we love the two toned choices! We are definitely going to be buying a magnifying glass so we can get our face ups closer to your level! The sewing is a whole different story lol!

I think the bodies of the Rainbow High dolls are super cute but their heads are just so big that it pushes them out of the size range that I like. Personal preference aside this repaint is absolutely precious and it's super cool to see you working on a variety of different dolls.

oh i agree with ya. i like the rainbow high dolls but they arent a doll that im going to repaint a ton because i prefer dolls that are more proportionate. thank ya! its so much fun repainting new dolls! it always baffles me when people only paint one specific line of dolls. it just seems to boring.

idk why but you ending your statements with "and it's cute!" is just so frickin adorable, just the way you say it make my heart go awwww. GIRL THOSE EYES WITH THAT FACE just so stunning and sparkly ahhhhhhh I am IN LOVE with her outfit, especially all the tulle and lace underlayers. hahaha i just think everythings cuteeee. thank yeeeeee, mannn ive been really loving making eyeballs lately. her dress is definitely very layery lol maybe too much so. i was so bummed to waste money on the cheer doll but i just couldnt be bothered to deal with that other body any more. im sure ill do something with the other body parts eventually.

thanks! i cant remember what exactly i said in this vid but my kittys doing quite a bit better. his diabetes is in remission(thank god, insulin is crazy expensive) but he still has asthma. congrats on finishing your first faceup! i hope ya find the body lol im happy my vids make ya smile! thanks for watching!

Yessss my favorite art doll uh- artist? Yeah I don't know about that- but I swear she is gorgeous! Gosh your videos are so aesthetically pleasing and very fabulous indeed! I also loved her hair- makes me want to dye my own although I need some dye for dark hair-

This was a really nice customisation. The poofy rainbow hair and magical sparkly eyes are great. (Surprisingly I watched the whole 40 mins without going double time.) The 2nd eyelashes look so much better than the 1st. I like the shape of the Rainbow High dolls compared to monster's high. The bodies seem to have more volume and better posture, and I like the eyes being inset, so they're similar to BJDs. (I don't really like when the dolls shapes are too sexualised, especially since they're marketed to kids, but somehow they always are, don't know why.)

im glad ya like her! thank ya!! yeaaaa im glad i switched out the lashes. also agree!! the monster high body is just....it looks painful. a doll body hasn't really struck me as being too sexualized other than the lol ones. i think those ones are kind of....very curvy and if i recall they wear thongs? it doesn't really bother me but i can see it being a bit weird for really young kids. atleast definitely the thong part.

Your doll is super cute! 🥰 I saw someone on KZfaq make the neck easier to pose by simply clipping off each side of the neck peg a bit shorter with heavy duty wire cutters. I haven’t tried it, but it seems a lot easier to me than drilling, and dealing with runaway screws! I didn’t like rainbow high dolls in the beginning, because I don’t like dolls with teeth, (I find teeth creepy) and I do not like the sparkle skin. I do like the cheerleader dolls much better because they have matte faces. I personally would paint the white teeth black (or another dark color) for a nice lip separation effect. But that’s just me. You have inspired me to make a clown doll, instead of a witch doll using this tutorial as a basis for it.🌹

thank you!! ooo ill have to try and find the tutorial youre talking about! im actually kinda picky about teeth and dolls. i think it looks fine here and in the original rainbow high dolls but ive seen it look real funky which is why i rarely paint them. aww a clown doll sounds so cute!!

Mommy from my world explained this really well. Rainbow high is expensive to make so they probably were looking for places to cut costs in places that wouldn’t lower the overall quality. This would tower the retail price ( 26.99 American) while still have the inset eyes, nylon hair and designer inspired clothes
