Is there anything more beautiful, majestic and speaking to the heart than this....

The first Jaco tune I ever learned to play, such a beautiful melody. It taught me so much about how important the jaco tone is to playing his stuff correctly. My first real music teacher was always impressed with how i got my fretted bass to sound so like a fretless, it was simply from hours of listening & imitating the king....

Wonderful, beautiful! Bravo, Jaco, Joe, Wayne and Peter. lThis is a rare and special find. This captures one of the greatest groups in it's greatest incarnation I feel, which was the 2nd great Weather Report band which Jaco was a part of. I saw the very same group on their 1978 World Tour in my home town at the now long gone Capitol Theater in Passaic, NJ. Having waited on line all night long to get the best seats, I managed to get great seats in the orchestra section and seeing and hearing these guys up close in great sound live at their best was an incredible experience I'll rank up there as one of the most impactful musical experiences in my life! Many thanks for Fred Erskine sharing this historic footage.

My all time favorite tune! I haven't seen this video (I'm Fred's grandson and Peter's nephew). very cool. I've got another tape from the same tour and a few others from his camera that I sent to Peter to get digitized!

Damian Erskine, Glad you like this tune also. Sorry I didn't ever see WR live with Peter. And sorry I've not seen you play live either, maybe someday. I love your playing.

I was privileged to have seen this show in Reading PA @ The Rajah Theatre back in '78. One of those rare experiences that changed my (musical) life, forever!

That last little thing he did with his hand? Yeah, he's so specific with how it all sounds, and it all comes together exactly how he wants it to
