There's no island like the Island from the hit TV show "Lost" (2004-2010), with its bizarre occurences, multiple treks and exciting locations. In this series I analyze every journey taken by the characters on the show. Episode by episode. Trying to connect the dots between all those impossible maps, confusing treks and mysterious locations.

I think at one point during the development of Lost’s middle seasons there was a plan to depict some kind of mechanism (whether that be ancient in construction or by DHARMA) that allowed the Others to leave the Island . Explaining how Tom was able to leave the Island to recruit Michael when supposedly Desmond turning the failsafe key had knocked out the Other’s ability for the Galaga submarine to return to the Island. Eventually we got both the Orchid vault and the frozen wheel. I know that a lot of people think the polar bear found in the desert turned the frozen wheel. I always assumed the bears were placed in the Orchid vault and transported to the desert that way (despite the fact that the show made the vault too small to contain a polar bear).

Thanks for the shoutout! 38:22 It's funny because my video coming out tomorrow is yet another one dedicated to addressing your feedback and perspective. 😆 I'm not trying to argue Jacob was definitively astral projecting off-island (I think both projection and teleportation make sense and I don't have a strong preference of one over the other). But it does feel worth noting that in Jacob's final appearance in the show--in which he is definitively *not* corporeally present--he is able to physically interact with the environment around him. He takes the bag of his own ashes from Hurley, builds a fire, carries a torch, scoops up water, and handles Jack's cup. So it does seem to me that Jacob was probably powerful enough to astral project and interact with physical environments and objects as if he were actually there. Either way I genuinely love the idea that the lighthouse is where he'd go to initiate these off-island visitations! My only issue with the wheel component of this theory is that the Orchid wheel is presumably frozen because of the extremely cold temperature of the negatively charged exotic matter it releases in massive bursts. So it seems to me any other wheel serving such a similar function would likewise become frozen, especially after such frequent use. I also think Jacob himself--because of how powerful he had become--may not have needed a wheel mechanism in order to teleport on and off the island. (I think MIB would have been capable of this too if not for being tethered to the electromagnetic field of the Source.) I do have my own thoughts on how Widmore (and Richard) came and went from the island, but that would be a lot for me to get into here... Anyways, great work as always! Looking forward to your return!

Great analysis on the finale! I love how these videos so far have taken sooo many memories back of the show for me and just the passion behind this project is something I very much love to see! It's very inspiring! Enjoy the break and I am looking forward to the next season, and of course the other videos you've planned in between!

Thanks for your continued hard work! Can't wait for the season 6 journeys. I always wondered if the Dharma "door" was originally because there was some sort of exit there they witnessed and not just a faux wall as the others used it to trick the survivors.

This is, if I'm not mistaken, the biggest Choekaas I-have-little-to-back-this-up theory episode but I'm all for it! That additional donkey-wheel room under the lighthouse is great. Everything to do with that theorised teleportation cave is great. It's funny when we talk about teleportation because it sounds kind of dumb (despite all of the other supernatural elements we see in the show) as opposed to the easy answer of sub or plane travel until you remember that the island literally can and does teleport. Bloop! Nevermind the teleporting through time, teleporting people off the Island to Tunisia. It sounds dorky when you say Jacob could have teleported but it's also already 110% a possibility from what we've seen in the show. Low-key enjoy how Harry Potter comes up a few times here after I made my time turner references regarding the last episode. "Fix the problem that she created" is one of the best succinct lines describing a character's arc on this show. "Plastic piece of trash" shots fired! Valid and warranted shots fired! Don't be disappointed that you're not going to clear the 20th anniversary date - we're all here nearly 20 years after the show - we'll still be here a little after that milestone, too! Have a good break, man!

I think the tawaret VFX discrepancy is the director or somebody wanting the statue to be bigger and more menacing. but they cant change the size of the base, so they have to move the legs closer together to compensate

That's a good possibility. I can see the. I'm also thinking that they weren't sure about the placement of the stone door. In the original model, you see that it's incredibly close to the left. Maybe that angle didn't work. Who knows.

Amazing video as always! Really great theories about lighthouse and the way it work. Hope to be alive when the next season explanation would arrive. Living in Ukraine and now every man must go on war and there's no much believing in future. But the LOST show is the one which gives us a true belief into destiny, fate, the whole life structure as well as love and battle between good and evil. Season 5 with it time-travels was great to observe and I've met so many cool your theories which push me to contemplate a lot. Thanks a lot for such great work.

Wow, that is tough to hear. Are you a veteran or are they inducting everyone. (Just curious, I'm a veteran you see, so if there's a war I'd likely get re-called if they need most men. While those that weren't in the army wouldn't). My heart truly is with you guys. I can imagine how devestating it is. Especially going to war against such a gruesome superpower, that still hasn't backed down after two years, must feel like David vs. Goliath. All the time I'm hoping that someone just ends it all. Makes Putin just retreat, go back to the original borders. Heck, even give back Crimea to the Ukrainians. It's gonna be a while until the next season comes along, but I'll be thinking of you. Stay strong.

@@Choekaas I have nothing in common with an army, moreover have a pacific tatto on my body. The thing is that there is a new mobilization law and all men over 25 years are required to go to war. I have many of friends who have already died against putin's shitty narrative which has no sense . We are all the same people on the planet, especially in bordered countries. The LOST show was translated on russian First channel back in 2008 as well as an Ukrainian ICTV channel. Personal for me putin is an Man in Black, a guy without clear purpose, just keep destroying everybody's life around. For sure there's no place for politics and such shit here, everything is gonna be alright. Your videos inspired me a lot back in 2022. It opened a new, deeper way of contemplating things. First I saw the LOST in 2006 when I was only 7 years old, my Older brother has shown it to me, saying: there's so much blood, you should have not see that! (about pilot scene) and there's so much mysteries. So the LOST show was a really mystery for me. I thought I understood everything back in 2010, caught a whole idea, and I had, but I was only a kid. Since there rewatching this show from time to time I discover new things for myself. And your channel describes all the LOST plot completely, including map characters movement, which gives fully systematically understanding of this show. Of course it has sacred moments of our life understanding which is individual for each person. Your work is unbelievable. Will wait till final season explanation

Love the Hot Wheel theory. I have one adjustment I'd make. Charles is a very intelligent, charismatic, manipulative man. And, most importantly, he was the leader with the authority that comes with the position. I think that once Charles found out Richard had a magic way off the island he'd devote all his considerable charm and energy towards convincing Richard to tell him what it was. And he's the leader, so I think Richard would eventually give in. That's my two cents anyway.

The last time you commented was at the season 4 finale where you expressed frustrations about the wait, and I said to you then: It takes a lot of time to make these videos. This isn't my day-job. I work on these a few hours a week, often in the weekends when I have no plans. A video can take over a month to make. So of course there has to be a break.

Great video! It always makes my head hurt when I think that the bomb exploded and at the exact same millisecond there's a time flash which zaps them away to present day. It makes sense if you let it but my brain always has to take a second - to think a nuclear explosion happens and they are not even slightly impacted by it and that the time flash completely shields and transports them - it's just a a lot to conceive. And I think it feels confusing for the fact that their ears are ringing for a few minutes when they awake in present day... to me that implies that for a few milliseconds they somehow heard the explosion right before they could be physically irradiated into dust and right before they physically were transported away. But sound travels slower than light so the fact they heard the blast always baffles me. I'd have thought if they heard it they'd also be hit with the radiation... but somehow not. Or perhaps their ears are ringing from the time flash? I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on this. I understand the concept of what happened but that tiny detail of millisecond by millisecond what happened.. did it explode, they heard it before they could be irradiated and then they were transported through time? Or were they instantly transported before they could even hear it and be irradiated? I think the latter makes the most sense... but it still feels confused for the fact their ears were ringing which leads us to think they did hear it go off... And lastly I was hoping to see what your thought on how large the blast radius from the bomb would be... I always thought if it went off it can't have been big enough to wipe out the island... but then I struggle to think of how a nuclear bomb could only create a smaller explosion. Interested to hear your thoughts on that point... That's my take, be interested to hear yours!

Thanks. I'll mention how I see it. It's also going to be part of the "Post-Incident" video I'll release this summer. First of all, with Lost we have a certain area of miracles and pseudo-science, so the ideas might not work 100% in real-life. I think the key is what Daniel says before he died. "I think I can negate that energy". Detonating Jughead isn't to blow up the Island or destroy the Swan, but to nullify the energy. The Swan's energy was growing cataclysmically. We saw the dangers of it on September 22nd 2004. And Jughead is a hydrogen bomb. It would destroy everyone on the Island. But something did happen. We heard the explosion. Richard was supposed to say that all he saw was ashes and the original ending would be him seeing the explosion. Obviously The Swan got stabilized. At least temporarily, before they could install the computer. And obviosly there was no atomic blast on the Island. So the Jughead bomb nullified it all. There's a bunch of theories, much of it goes far beyond my scientific understanding, but atomic bombs behave differently in vacuum (there's a video on KZfaq called "What if we nuked the moon" which is about how different it would be). Anyway. The continued electromagnetic power at the pocket and the bomb negated each other. Like The Swan swallowed all the radiation (or at least only Juliet got the full dose, which wouldn't matter since she would die within an hour or something). There was an explosion. Like popping out trapped air in a vent in a large machine. If we use the analogy of the record player, the Jughead bomb negating the energy jumped the needle so it landed on 2007. From the writers perspective (they are not scientists), I think they just used the trope of energy absorption. Classical sci-fi/blockbuster trope. Bad guy has superpower. Good guy has device. They hit together. A blast happens. There is no end of the world. Both powers negated each other. I'm thinking of superhero stuff like Hulk (2003) with the antagonist absorbing power, growing bigger and bigger, until they had to nuke him and Hulk, or Peter Quill (a half-Celestial) being able to hold the Power stone with no explosions or dying. Or the more comedic "Mars Attacks" when they fire the nuke at the aliens, and there's some small explosion and fire, but the majority of it all is sucked into them in some balloon-like machine.

My theory/fix is that the moving cabin travels in time and space according to however Jacob decides and that's how he leaves the island and comes back. The flash of a person in there was someone else using it (probably the founder of Dharma, Alvar Hanso, whom Jacob knew and kept up with because he allowed/brought Dharma there to study the light because he knew eventually the outside world would come in and they needed to be able to use technology to protect the light). The room below the Orchid that Ben fills with metal to explode and get to the wheel, or some earlier version of that, is how Charles left. It is connected to the wheel and taps into it's abilities, but doesn't move the island. You can only move the island by actually turning the wheel. Trouble is, if you don't leave from that little room, you can't come back by that room.
