I believe grandiose and covert narcissists are interchangeable. They're grandiose when it suits them, and no matter how big and macho they are, when a show of strength fails and the tantrum doesn't work, look how quickly they pretend to be weak, vulnerable and stupid. Then they can switch back to being grandiose in an instant. Can you spot them in covert mode? I'm surrounded by them, so I can spot them within an hour. I can spot a grandiose one even quicker. decades of experience.

Supported my wife through medical school and once she finished her residency she discarded me like trash. 20 years of marriage and hard labor down the drain. I did all i could for her. To her all I was was a plow horse to be put down when she no longer needed my income. She left at 40....im 53 now and have been a monk since. Only now am i understanding that she was the issue, not me. It was always about her needs, and mine were never considered. The constant gas lighting and moved goal posts were enough to make me feel like the crazy one and the one who caused the divorce. Been living with the guilt for so long. I couldnt have done any more for her without losing my life.

It can take a very long time to figure out what you're even dealing with. Give yourself some grace. There really isn't a single thing that you could have done to change the outcome, short of finding out earlier how it was going to end and leaving the relationship. If we all could have done that, maybe we all would have. Take care of yourself. ❤

Dr Ramani called her out when she was on her show. Willow, her own daughter, said she thought Jada had narcissistic tendencies. Told her that to her face. But people think Will is the problem. What kind of mother sleeps with her son's friends? Then throws it in her husband's face? That's not reacting to a narcissist. That's narcissistic behavior.

I gotta see that vdo haha...dint know Jada got pointed out by Dr Ramani ... But the next part you mentioned, it's actually the biggest example, that u cannot win with a narcissist, even if u caught them committing the worst crim in the world they will have tactics to make it seem like it is what was supposed to be done, they did the right thing, or u r the crazy one and they were the victim... My homeboy just told me he has been giving me the side eye this week for my defense of Jada Pinkett Smith. I asked him if he read Will's book the answer was no. Sigh. Let me just drop some tidbits because y'all refuse to read and are committed to talking about ish you have no idea about (not that I do). Do I think Jada is wild for sharing all this in public ABSOLUTELY! But for whatever reason she's told herself to be committed to "radical honesty". Here are PUBLICALLY AVAILABLE FACTS of why I can't listen to/read y'all drag this woman no more: *In the 1980s BEFORE JADA AND WILL MET IN 1991, Will Smith and Chris Rock met and decided they hated each other. 📌 1. A 28 y/o Will Smith was told by his 1st wife that she wanted a divorce. He told her NO, and she asked him "Why would you want to be with someone who doesn't love you?" (she did this on Valentine's Day 😢). Instead of healing 🚩 he immediately picked up the phone and called a 25 y/o Jada. The woman he knew he had been in love with (and lowkey stalking) since meeting her on set when she was 19. 2. Jada in love with Tupac who had just been sentenced to jail was depressed 🚩, put on meds, and determined to go find herself in Baltimore answers Will's call that went like this: "Are you single?" "Yes" "YOU GO WITH ME NOW!" 🚩 Two days later she flew to LA 🚩 moved into his house and never again lived in the new house she had just bought. Y'ALL there is so much to unpack here I'm like how would I react if a man called me and just decided we go together??? 3. Fast forward to September of the following year and Tupac is unexpectedly released from jail, Will sees the love Jada has for Pac and decides he would never like Pac and that he's marrying Jada. 🚩🚩 *Sometime in this story, Chris Rock decided that he should have Jada instead of Will and performed a comedy set about her in London. Folks who were there say it was sad and not funny it just seemed bitter. 🚩 He never performed that set again. 📌 4. That Thanksgiving (November) when his divorce clears Will proposes to Jada, she doesn't want to get married and she tells him this. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 5. Two days later she finds out she's pregnant, and her mother tells her YOU BETTER MARRY THIS TALL RICH HANDSOME MAN. 🚩 🚩 Did I mention with encouragement from Will she stopped taking her depression medication. 6. Now depressed and filled with pregnancy hormones she marries Will a month later on New Year's, she is so unhappy that SHE LITERALLY GOES DOWN THE AISLE CRYING. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 This is where I'm like my dear WILL WTF shes crying walking towards marrying you!!!!! 7. Now she gives birth to 2 beautiful kids who she enjoys mothering and basically for the next 15 years says nothing goes along with the forced picture of perfection Will admits he not only placed on her but his children. 8. ACCORDING TO WILL he knew she was unhappy and depressed but manipulated her with toxic positivity it got so bad he woke up to her crying for 45 days straight (she says it was longer). 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 9. Will finally says I'll give you the separation. * Chris Rock hears rumors that they have an open marriage, he calls Jada and asks her out. She responds "Chris, I'm still with Will." Basically, that's a no. So embarrassed Chris just hangs up on her. 📌 *Oscars so White happens Chris Rock gets on stage and clowns Jada and for the "it's just jokes" folks, Chris feels so guilty about the "jokes" that he calls her and apologizes. 📌 10. Enter August, Will even approve of Jada dating August. August signs an NDA and begins dating Jada, but after some time she breaks up with him instead of taking it in stride he writes a song about her and puts her government middle name in the music video. When called on it, because his b*tch A** signed a legal document he denies it. The next year while promoting his album he confirms it. The following year the now infamous Red Table occurs. 11. A year later Will drops a book AND REVEALS ALL OF THIS, APOLOGIZES TO HER FOR BASICALLY HOLDING HER CAPTIVE, and NO ONE SAYS ANYTHING OR ATTACKS HIM because apparently no one read it!! 12. Because Jada says she loves Will and promised him never to divorce him, she doesn't, their property is so massive that they have separate houses BUT IT IS ONLY BECAUSE OF WILL THAT THEY ARE STILL TOGETHER, STILL A FAMILY. 13. On the biggest night of Will's acting career, THEY BOTH DECIDED TO STEP OUT TOGETHER (still doing the acting performance Will insists on). B*tch A** #2 Chris Rock does a joke about Jada THAT WAS NOT SCRIPTED, he basically saw her, a woman he can't have with a man he hates, and decided to clown her. (HE DESERVED THE DAMN SLAP) ‼ 14. Now AFTER WILL Smith has done a number of interviews and his own book tour, Jada after checking with WILL writes her book and goes on her own book tour and Y'ALL, and all (INCLUDING MYSELF) ARE MAD AT HER AND DRAG HER. WILL SMITH WAS THEN AND STILL IS NOW ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL NAMES IN POP CULTURE, the man has 66 MILLION FOLLOWERS, and he is one of the richest men in America, HE IS NOT THE VICTIM IN THIS STORY. The problem is that y'all are just as toxic as him because humans are gon' human. You CANNOT control your partners, force them into loving you no matter how "nice" you are. Guys, IT IS ONLY MISOGYNY AND FANDOM that make us want to hate her for not being captive to his toxic love. Even after all this I still love Will Smith and please remember he still loves the woman y'all are tearing apart on his behalf. Fin

Jada probably cycles between cluster b types. So, it is hard to place her and name her issue. So, people get confused. I say don’t worry about figuring out the problem and instead concentrate on how a person makes YOU feel. If you don’t like being around a person, leave! You don’t have to figure out the problem or hope they will change.

Really good detail especially about use of plausible deniability and the ever present dissatisfaction. So clear. I also notice what a person does not do in interactions - no inner searching eg looking down while talking for their own authentic feelings. There is a robotic staring at the other to see how their act is going over. Leaves me feeling a chill and also quite bored in a way. Because what you never get is heartfelt emotion and vulnerability. Power is what they crave - end of story.

You hit it right on. The way you presented this video and used clips to support your views I thought was an excellent way to show this. Also, it was helpful to see you demonstrate how narcissistic personality order looks in real life. I agree all the signs appear to be there and there's two sides of Jada. The side she allows us to see and the one she hides from the public. She wants us to believe her and Will were not together but obviously they were together in some capacity or Will would not have said what he said. So now we're supposed to believe something is wrong with Will. Maybe there is something wrong with him but for her to act like she has nothing to do with it is BS!! For some reason Will felt he needed to do and say that. HMMM

Every move she makes is for secondary gain. She’s a show girl and the show never stops. There’s a difference between being a narcissist and being a career narcissist. It’s a show based on her smoldering resentment at being less successful than her mega successful husband. She reminds me of the Norma Desmond character in Sunset Boulevard who can’t accept aging and obsolescence. She’s ready for her closeup and the camera must never stop rolling.

I also coached my daughter's primary school basketball team. It meant I had social contacts & interesting people to maintain my sanity. If money is an issue - then volunteering groups might help. The focus is to slowly get your own friends/support people outside of the relationship. It is amazing that others usually have good ideas to help... & will will protect your plans to escape. All your thoughts cannot just come from him. Number 1 is to see that the abusive 'non human' you are married to is nothing but a toddler who is stupid but capable of bullying & fawning to control you.

Thank You Danish; I have been watching quite a few videos about NARCS, but it was whilst I was with a NARC. He used to spy on everything I did and he put a trace or a tracking device? On my phone, I would have to phone him as soon as I left work and he would tell me where I was, when I asked him how he knew this he said that he timed US when he met me from work, so I walked slower and he still told me where I was. I have left him now and he doesn't know where I am. But I sometimes think that maybe I'm the mad one and I'm just imagining everything that's happened. I know I have a lot of trauma in my life, but my life is now mine and I'm going to beat this feeling sorry for myself attitude and beat Him by being stronger. I thought the same. I was so shocked realizing their situation and that he n I had something in common. I felt his pain about the 3 years of planning... to be so excited... and then so disappointed. 😞 I've recently learned these past 4 years that I've spent my life with a father then husband who were narcs. 40 years of NEVER being good enough. Hurts worse when u honestly do your best and yet.... death by a thousand paper cuts. Now I'm as close to a hermit as possible while raising two kids with zero help of course. I've only had a handful of people EVER have my back. The First would be my first love when I was 15. I honestly don't think I'll ever feel good enough. Mostly cuz I think I'm done trying.

Will Smith gave his heart to Jada, and Jada took advantage of his sincere love for her, Will Smith was being an example of what the Bible tells us to do, Ephesians 5:25: Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the Church and gave Himself for her*

Did you watch the Oscar's clip? Jada did not react other than to roll her eyes. Will didn't even see that. Will reacted on his own volition. Will is a self described narcissist, from BEFORE he was with Jada. Have you read his book? Do you know about his relationship with his ex wife and why all of his children at some point have stopped talking to him? I, like Jada, have been judged for reacting to a narcissist like Will, where everybody believes his side without even knowing his side.

I'm learning about Narcissistic so much from Danish, Dr. Ramani, and other channel also. I have a lot of concern, how to defuse mind game? Like i can talk game lingo, but never starting one. I can recognize mind game because i play video game and sporty game so it's kinda similiar move that i can identify it. When i watch Jada i know there's a mind game. How to defuse it?

I agree with what you said sbout Jada, Will and that slap. The day i saw that video, i felt so sorry for Will and that he was being Manipulated. Then i also saw all the videos of how Jada was close to Tupac in the past, that's been a core wound of Will. I felt despite having a good friend in her life in Tupac; I feel she selfishly married Will (or Will too selfishly may have intervened to get her to marry him, than allow her the freedom to chose) for his fame & money & left her good friendship with Tupac. And she possibly also used it to get Will to be under her emotional control too, or because Will didn't get over the friendship, their relationship couldn't build well. And i agree the slap from Will, seems definitely something Jada manipulated out of Will. IDK about the second video though partly, because maybe he was indeed acting out of ego a bit on his birthday celebrations possibly too ( because narcisstic people do tend to use part truths too when manipulating or controlling another)? But yes the emotional withdrawal from her in many of their relationship videos; & lack of warmth between them definitely makes them seem to be in a very toxic relationship. And Will though a more warmer & loving personality, may have other issues in the marriage that makes it difficult for her to be warm towards him. And I agree with you that Will definitely looked very lost too in that second video. May God give him the strength to change and leave that's been hurting him emotionally for so long. 🤗🙏✨💖 Everyone who is a warm personality, deserves that equal kind of warm love that matches the potential for love they have in their soul. And yes if Jada is Narcissistic, selfish & manipulative, it will be hard for Will to leave her easily or with grace. Only good women, kind & compassionate women- usually allow easy divorces or separations. ✨🤍🤗 But God is always watching over who is being the toxic partner, & can always help us when we need help.

Tell him in a marriage the two need to support each other above anyone else. Tell him if he can't do that than you can't do that for him. If you stick to your word he will have more respect for you. Set a boundary and tell him if it keeps happening again, you will have to do... (work out what you will do)... and do that. Men don't understand words, he needs to see your actions. Not supporting you is unacceptable.
