This is probably meant to be funny but it's actually insightful and educational. I admit to my own ignorance about this illness and that I assumed tics were just twitches and that the swearing thing was just people being funny or whatever but seeing a few videos now and seeing how her family is so patient and understanding with her it's pretty great. I thought in the first video I watched she was faking but I'm really glad this was suggested so I can learn. Thank you for educating me.

This made me laugh. I don't have Tourettes, but I have benign tremors in my hands and sometimes they do make a big twitch (I have accidentally thrown my cutlery across the dining room table) and this reminds of that, although a lot more extreme obviously. Putting on mascara is really difficult sometimes. I think your cousin is really brave to let you near her eyes with that mascara wand.
