I am 33 and it’s feels so long since I’ve been this excited about the Knicks I could cry, but I am not jinxing anything or getting overconfident lol. Jalen is so talented but also seems like such a cool dude I was getting emotional for him at those mvp chants. Remember when a fan told him it was embarrassing (I’m forgetting the details) during the game bc they were playing bad and he turned it around and credited him lol. He plays so hard and fr gives it 110%, I know it’s prob 10x more emotionally difficult playing here bc sometimes us ny fans or media are brutal but when you get our respect you get it for life, those fans at the last game would run in front of a bus for him now lol.

I'm a Heat fan and the Knicks are definitely a team I DO NOT want to face in the playoffs this year. Celtics have some serious inconsistency issues especially come playoff time. Bucks lack chemistry and are very underwhelming this year on both ends. The Sixers have the biggest liability in Embiid who's always injured. That leaves the Knicks who's been playing incredible with tons of grit coming back to win games after being down by a lot. Plus we beat them last year in a tough second round series so I'm expecting them to get revenge for that. Don't be surprised if you see them in the playoffs vs Clippers or the Thunder. They've been a joy to watch so far and their team (besides Randle) is tough not to like apart from their obnoxious fan base 😂.

@goated2k
@goated2k 4 ай бұрын
@@kingjaydex7464 Brother. Who cares if we beat them last year. Every year is totally different. We just lost 7 in a row and we got even worse this year. Plus I never said I wanted to face the Celtics but I'd honestly rather face them than a healthy Knicks team. Also, Randle's been to the playoff twice. The first year he was the #1 option without Brunson so a lot of pressure was on him especially being in NY. Last year he played against us injured and I'm pretty sure he got surgery right after we knocked them out which kept him sidelined the entire offseason. So take his playoff history with a grain of salt. And with this constructed Knicks team and the additions of OG and DiVincenzo + Hartenstein taking a huge leap, it takes the weight off Randle's shoulders. The team is extremely balanced and playing with a lot of chemistry.

I think Leon Rose is their savior, just look what he did since he was hired. 1. Get the Knicks respectable hiring Thibs and building around Randle with draft picks 2. Use that respectability to entice someone they consider could be their franchise player. Turned out to be Brunson. 3. Save cap, draft well, use assets to trade for the third star in Anunoby. People talk too much shit about Randle and what he can't do. He's emotional but generally has a good attitude about following what the coaches ask of him. And guys like Jordan Poole get paid more than Randle.

Right after letting Nash walk in FA after he clearly said he wanted to resign. IF Luka demands a trade soon, it will be upgraded to even the biggest mistake in franchise history.

I think only looking at Randle and Brunson’s usage rate is a bit misleading. Randle’s is essentially the same. 28.8 before 28.2 during. But Brunson’s has spiked up so the question is where did it come from. It came from IQ and RJ leaving. OG took some of the usage but it opened up more opportunities for NY to play through Brunson.

It all starts at the top. Resurrecting this pathetic franchise started with the hiring of Rose and Coach Thibodeau. Alongside a very unsung hero in all of this is also Scott Perry. These three men helped build the Knicks into a respectable franchise. Great free agent signings at a reasonable cost, better drafting even though it could be better, and a team on the floor that Coach has prepared to compete every single night. JD finally got it right. I know alot of Knick fan that stuck it out during the lean years and we finally have a team that's well run. Knicks have a team full of talented hungry players that want to win. Jalen definitely leads the way. Let's go Knicks.

When they made the trade my "hot take" for another channel was Knicks in the Finals. I feel even more confident now with Doc in with the Bucks and Embid injuring his knee. That makes it Knicks or Heat or Cavs in the East. Knicks just have a stout defense now and defense wins rings. Dante is a great defender and underappreciated at it, and with OG added, they have really good perimeter defense and stout interior defense too.

I’d like to make mention of my theory as to why this team is playing well defensively. With the increase in scoring over the past few years or so, it’s safe to say that the league as a whole has come to expect on a nightly basis, a lack of defense from most teams you face. Take for example Indiana, who leads the league in scoring, but are dead last in defense. But when you take a closer look at the Knicks, they are actually playing real defense, and barely have any miscues on defense. Yes, there head coach is originally a defensive coach for a majority of his career, but here its really showing if you just examine their defense a little closer. They say teams play better defense in the playoffs, but these guys are really playing defense now in the regular season to make sure that they are well prepared once playoff time comes. I still feel they need a play maker off the bench and another stretch 3 and D wing defender off the bench as well. It showed last night when Brunson was on the bench.

Good analysis overall but your analysis of randle is really incorrect. Yes he turns it over a lot, but he is unstoppable in the paint and it is crucial for him to continue posting up. He is unstoppable in the paint and draws doubles.

Well, if he was really unstoppable in the paint, his efficiency in the post wouldn’t be as low as it is.

It's honestly crazy how Tibbs was under Doc and received a lot of the same criticism(warranted)But Tibbs gas really learned and evolved his coaching style to fit now. You would've thought he'd been phased out by now but he's thriving. Older coaches should take note.

If things keep going the way they are, folks would have to consider who the x-factor of that Mavs team was. I'm not suggesting that Brunson mught be more individually dominant than Luka. But, like the pairing of Melo and Chauncey or Kobe and Pau. One guy can be the more dominant individual player while the other may improve the winning percentage of the team more.

😂 he's not on Ewings level. Pat played both ends of the floor. He gave his all for this team for 15 years. John Starks is one of the most beloved Knicks of all time because of his heart and how hard he played, but he wasn't nearly as talented as Brunson. Melo was a fake hustle, selfish fraud. Brunson is better than Melo ever was.

@bballbreakdown . How would you feel if the Knicks brought in Nikola Vucevic as a starting Center that Shoot anywhere on the court . If he comes off the bench he would be an excellent 6th man . I would see Vucevic’s Role would be a Stretch 5 for Randle as Lopez is for Giannis . Vucevic can be the number 1 option some nights depending on the game . Great screener , Roler and excellent in pick and pops . If we land Vucevic he will boost Brunson and Randle’s offense and give him easy as assist . With another scoring option while not taking away from Donte and OG . I can see the Knicks offense jumping to top 10 maybe even 5
