What I like more about JWB is the honesty. You get a good perspective of the island and inhabitants, customs and also a few questionable things. Truth be told, if i want to go to a resort, i can go everywhere in the world and it's the same, safe and boring. Watching those videos, a foreigner like me can maybe understand a little and know how to enjoy safely the country.

Another wonderful video to show historical downtown how to walk, enjoy and live it. I would walk in a group on lonely roads. Beautiful Foreign Affairs bldg that was once in an old bldg uptown New Kingston. The end of Port Royal St. goes East thru Rae Town to Mtn and Harbour View to Airport. Areas I once walked in 90s while working in Judicial district of Duke St. and East St. Even then it was lonely so cautious. Except for West of King St., the area built up beautifully now but still lonely. Restroom closed! 😱 Thanks for another interesting walk Fabian and I'm happy you finished safely and before rain. .Blessed strong 👍♥️🥂

Excellent video. Downtown looks incredibly different now than it did back in the day. It looks so clean and organized now. Where are the vendors that used to line many of the streets? The artwork is absolutely awesome.

THAT COMMUNITY IS CALLED RAE-TOWN(Where Shaggy is from) .IT WAS THE FIRST PREDOMINATELY INDIAN COMMUNITY IN KINGSTON DUE TO ITS PROXIMITY TO THE OCEAN.I THINK UP TODAY THEY HAVE 'NUFF COOLIE OVER DEH. Great video, walk by . Hey that harbor is 2 miles across . There’s no investor who’s gonna invest in building that because not enough people live in Port Royal or go back and forth to the airport to make it profitable. If the government had money they could build it just as a showpiece for the harbor and for quick access to the airport but as an investment, it’s not worth it.

Yes you at gold street and horbour street, that the real southside area. After gold street you have foster lane then High Holborn Stree, ladd lane and fleet street, next time you go southside just go straight up gold street to tower street and video the famous south side area. Oh yeah and that little sport complex you was videoing that the famous southside little mini stadium 🏟 And that prison name the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre It was formerly the General Penitentiary, that where Vybe Kartel is now. Jah know youth you get my respect to walk these part of downtown 💯 respect ✊ to you.

Bro i used to live there. Played soccer at mini stadium, swim in the waters in Rae Town. Been living in NY for 26 years now. My childhood home is still on steven lane near barry street.❤

Concerning Port Royal - I remember there used to be a ferry service that you could travel on to get from Port Royal Kingston Harbour back in the 80’s - not sure what happened to that service- as it would be nice if it could be brought back again- as it used to be a frequent service from morning til evening Workers and scholars used it to get by. 👍

For starters it wouldnt be worth it....furthermore this is one of the largest natural harbour in the world, and the area is a protected area, so minimal damage can be done to the sea floor has there are huge corals inbthe harbour. Plus, the driving to airport is a pleasurable eaperience, we should not be following overseas
