Jameis Winston is an NFL quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. He has previously played for the New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and also won a Heisman Trophy and National Championship at Florida State University.
Jameis Winston joins Theo in New Orleans on Easter weekend to chat about growing up in Alabama vs Louisiana, why his childhood dog was named “Baghdad”, his new role in Cleveland after signing with the Browns, his mentality on opportunity and self-confidence, why Drew Brees never seasoned his food, and much more.

A wise man once told me that Christians are like embers in the fireplace. Strong together, but remove one from the fire and it grows cold, the flame goes out, but move it back towards the fire and it can light right back up. It was awesome seeing Mr. Winston light that flame back up in Theo, and he’s right. Your faith in Jesus has to be your foundation. Gang gang.

Great episode and collaboration. Enjoyed listening to you two chat. I didn’t grow up in Louisiana, but I grew up in the South and can relate to much of what you said about your youth. Jameis seems like a really nice man. I admire and respect his faith. 🙏🏼

Jameis Winston's get rooted in your faith chat was next level great and super based. He combined the parable of the sower and the parable of the mustard seed quite elegantly.
