Thank you for sharing this video 🙏🏽 I was a little girl that grew up watching GunSmoke. I was fortunate to have been born on James Arness and John Wayne Birthdays May 26th 💙 my 2 hero’s. GunSmoke and James Arness will always hold a special place in my heart 💜 Thank you for all the beautiful memories, now I share them with my grandchildren. God Bless 🙏🏽

I love gunsmoke, although I barely remember it as a kid..and yeah one of the sexiest cowboys ever. Aside from Hoss. We have a small village close to where I live. We used to call it Dodge.. Trendy now, and boring.

I love the westerns..my fav is Gunsmoke..because of Sherriff Mat Dillion James Arrness brought the character to life!

He was a U.S. Marshal not a sheriff.

@@michaelproctor8100 Hello, ty for clarifying. In the TV series Gunsmoke Dodge City did not have a Sheriff so Marshal Dillon was the main lawman.

@@deedeescrystalblueclassics3973 As a U.S. Marshal Dillon has authority in the entire state of Kansas. He has the power to chase fugitives into other states as well as other countries like Mexico. He has even relieved a sheriff of his duties if he finds that sheriff has abused his power and has done so on several occasions in the series.

When he was alive there was a time when Arness was selling autographed posters from that movie on his website and donated a portion of the proceeds to his favorite charity.

@@gerry5134 He also sold autographed 8X10 photos from his Gunsmoke and How The West Was Won days. I got one of photos as Zeb Macahan and he signed it with his James Arness signature and as Zeb Macahan.
