Plenty of palettes have this staining warning stated on their products. Plus, the creators (eg James) have mentioned it explicitly during their product debut/intro video. I'm not a JC fan but sometimes people are just finding ANY reason to be critical of anyone.

No it does, those types of pigments are not considered safe for the eye area. That’s why they don’t call it eyeshadow explicitly.

Staining isnt inherently bad. The uk allows eyeshadow that stains but the fda doesn't approve but they're super outdated and backed up on recent findings on stuff like that

Yeah, that's why it's called EYEshadow, because it's for your EYES. Certain products are not meant to go where they're not directed because they were meant for a specific purpose. I always thought that was common sense but I guess it's not as common as I thought. Kimda like how LIPstick is for your LIPS

Because what happens if you accidentally get a product on a part of your face that it’s not usually used for? It shouldn’t cause a negative skin reaction. And if it does, then it shouldn’t be sold! All make up is supposed to be safe for your face. James Charles clearly didn’t use common sense which is why his company has crashed and burned 😂😂😂

Red is a color that tends to stain the most

He's saying that the FDA doesn't approve of eyeshadows specifically to stain the eye's, whilst any other body part is no issue. (Which makes no sense) And this is why many makeup brands that make cruelty free vegan makeup and use synthetic pigments that do stain, call the name of the product something else. Like a ''color palette'' or ''pigment palette'' and many other names, so that the FDA won't complain. Big chance that several eyeshadow palette you've seen or used have also had these name swaps, doesn't mean they are dangerous. Just means they won't call it an eyeshadow OR state on the back with a symbol to ''not use on the eyes'', cause the FDA is weird about it. The point is you CAN use it on the eyes, and everyone has for years from many different brands, but because of the FDA guidelines they will word things differently. The FDA isn't the end all be all either, there are plenty of ingredients that are allowed in the USA for skincare for example that are banned in the EU. I rarely even use makeup and I even got staining almost everytime I used eyeshadows from very expensive ass brands aswell, which also scared me until I saw people who wear makeup almost daily have the same issue. Makeup stains, it's nothing new, especially very vibrant colours. Just like some lipsticks will stain when you try to remove them. I'd rather it slightly stain my eye's with a pink hue, then have crushed up beetles inside of it tbh.
