I mean we all know he's an amazing musician but to see how he could transpose FDTW so beautifully to an instrument he taught himself how to play just leaves me with my jaw on the goddamned floor. What a treasure of a guy

I could listen to this man all day. I've adored James Dean Bradfield's music for the last 29 years. From Despair To Where though, wow! It evoked an emotional response from me, so moving! James is a phenomenally talented musician and singer. Love, love, love him! 😍❤️

A very gifted, talented, intelligent individual, very rare these days & that's why he's so successful & to top that, he's humble with it too ....... I was one day with my partner & young daughter visiting Folly Farm & who should I see with his family was JDB, sitting down in the picnic lunch area, amongst all other families being very much unnoticed because he fits in & comes across as everyone else, there's no bragging factor, a very down to earth guy, it was lovely to witness ........ Well done James on your latest work, top class as usual! 👏

Me and my wife saw him do a talk at the Hay Festival with author John Niven over a decade ago. No idea what they were discussing but the abiding memory is of James being so nice to a fan who spoke to him on the way out. He could not have been more friendly and we both remember it to this day. A class act.

@@justdrum4fun We have seen some interesting and not so interesting talks at Hay ( missed out on President Jimmy Carter one year as thought tickets too expensive, a regret) but James talking to the fan afterwards was an absolute highlight. Seeing George Osborne in the bookshop clocking that we had recognised him before he set about austerity, definitely not a highlight. Ironically, him and Michael Gove were both present at a talk by Lord Skidelsky about the great Maynard Keynes who opposed austerity.

JDB is always very self deprecating, however his musicianship is incredible, seeing him branch out into playing other instruments publicly is very exciting. The whole of Even in Exile is a testament to his music writing talents, and to Patrick Jones' writing. ( And I cant wait to see him play the double bass! )

Loving this. The last few years during shows it sounded like he’d back off the mic and let the audience take some of the higher notes but he’s still got it. I’ll bet remastering GATS brought some of that fire back. The new solo material sounds ace as well. Long live JDB...

After hearing plantation stripped down knowing how it sounds on record .you can hear other songs whilst he plays in your head knowing how they WILL sound ...the full thunderous guitars ,roaring vocals and beautiful orchestral sweeps that’s the Manics trademark edge!!!!😎👌 quality!!!

JDB is really perfect in guitar, voice, writing and whatever he does. Since the 90's I consider Manic Street Preachers the best band in the world (with a short eclipse to the Killers from 2007 to 2010 when I placed the Manics in second place).
