I went for a fitting in Sept. and after trying 4 different brands of irons I bought the Cobra F9 5 iron through LW. I was very impressed withe feel and consistency of the yardage no matter were I struck it on the face.i am 66 years old play to an 8 handicap and these maybe the best feeling irons I have ever owned.

changed from old TM to these Speedzone, ive dropped 9 of handicap in 2 months, I hit it further straighter and more consistent. Once you sort your distances out with them. Even Rickie Fowler uses a game improvement 4 iron as a driving iron.

Nice looking clubs. I’m a high handicap player and could see how they might help my game. Let Mark play a round with them to see how he does. Would also like to see you play a round with the cobra connect to see how helpful the info is

Yes mate use these in the course with the cobra connect. I’m intrigued. Thinking about getting these as a mid to high handicapper. I tested them out along with a few others and although these going in was not at the top of my list I come out with more interest in these than all others I tried.

I use the arccos system. It's great. They do make a putter sensor. It is a seperate sensor from your standard club grips though

Great video, been watching for while now. One thing I would suggest about your videos is consistent audio. It's a little bit annoying when your zoomed in talking then zoom out talking its always quiter. Maybe look at getting a mic you can wear or something so the sound is more consistent.

As a club repairman, I would great concern attempting to alter the lie or loft about the top carbon insert irons with conventional jigs. The possibility of cracking it puts me off from taking the risk of liability for this club.

Nice job James. High handicapper here and to be honest I wouldnt want to play those. Neither would I play the M6 or Sim irons etc. They just dont do anything for me visually and I hate the stronger and stronger lofts that we keep getting. Would much rather work on my strike and go for a better looking set of irons with nearer to traditional lofts. Ie. P790s, Wilson D7s or the Srixon Z-Forged.

I traded my cobra forged tec in for these couldn't get on with the tec at all. These are outstanding feel, distance and looks behind the ball are spot on. I'm off 6 so even low handicap players could use these 👌

I’d deffo like to see Mark test these. With the Arccos, you really get best value from it after you’ve played 5 or so rounds, then the caddie suggestions kick in.

I played Cobra for a couple years but I've gone to Taylormade P790's. I hate to be the negative one here but I think they look a little cheesy. So many gadgets and diff colors. Hope they work for some mid to high handicappers. Great video, thanks.

Just got these. Can't try them till July though. Excited as it is an upgrade from the top flite package set.

I think it would be interesting to have 3 different golfers play a round together with the same clubs and give feedback afterward. By three I mean high, mid and low handicapper. Thank you for the video.

You said you were worried about the spin/launch angles... but the descent angels look good IMO

Not for me James, I'd be going with their Forge Tec irons. Pulling things a little left I see. You need to start exiting left after contact. Should straighten things up for you and add some distance. (like how I did that)

I have hit these. They are a nice set. Cobra is a great bang for the buck company!

The 5-iron is actually Tom Weiskopf's 2-iron. And a Gap Wedge going 140 isn't a Gap Wedge...it is a 9-iron.

Would love to see mark give these a test in the studio and on course as well as his game and swing speed a lot like mine and many mid handicapped players, and see how forgiving these are as well

Could you please do a video with the Arccos system? I’ve always been curious about them but have never tried it. I actually game a Cobra F9 3wd but I had it re-gripped almost right away and forgot to ask for the AARCOS to be kept so I’ve never tried it! 🤗 These 🐍 irons look really really cool! I’m going to have to take a look at them some time just for fun.

Hot about Mark and Foxy course vlog, with a bag of regular and one length clubs, 9 holes with each set to see how they play and score with each set. An iron only game between the two showing the scores with and without handicap adjustment.

Love to see a comparison of these with the KING Forged Tec. I have them in one-length and really enjoying getting accustomed to them, especially the shorter irons. Feels very similar to my old p790's.

the look is ok , looks kinda good but im not sure it can beat the taylormade p790 in terms of forgiving irons looks , my advice would be go for a player irons right of the bat, i made the mistake of buying forgiving irons and i ended up buying some ap2 1 year after , they did help my game even if im not what you call a low hdc player

I believe the market is focusing too much on distance lately. It's cool to hit a 7 iron 200 yards but it becomes more difficult to control the sub 150 yard shots. A PW at 42°?

Great content james, but may I ask why you talk about total distance? We want to know about carry, it's good hitting it far but it could roll out 40 yards but that rolling out 40 yards could be water you've hit

Really like the look of them and defo like mid handicapper mark to have a go. Do they replace the F9?

Not sure why they bothered putting numbers on the bottom! You need another gap wedge before a sand wedge! Or do you just give up under 100 yards? Definitely for distance but will they stop on a green with those spin numbers. A higher handicap might get distance but they might be frustrated with the ability to hold a green. Mark or Foxy input might be interesting!

Play a round with both cobra SZ irons. Standard length and single length using cobra connect arccos and see how each round stats look. No drivers just irons.

Do you feel theres kinds of irons are aimed at people like myself who flip at impact? I hit my irons really high with lots of spin so having that lower launching lower spinning set up might suit that flipping action?. I know I should just be sorting my impact out (I've been trying for years) but this could be a option for someone like myself ? What do we think ? Thanks as always for the content

How do these compare to the F9's? From the big change in lofts and extra tech, I see them quite different vs an upgrade?

The 5 iron has a stronger loft than my 4 iron. Why do they b/s on the number all the time?

These Cobra's remind me too much of the original King Cobra Oversized Irons...you know...from the mid 1990's. I sold my set because the gaps between how far I hit.....say an 8 iron, 155 yards, and my 7 iron...which I was hitting 195 yards...well...I had nothing I could hit from 160-180 yards. So, I with had to really stand on an 8 iron or try to hit a three quarter 7 iron. The distance problem was more than I cared to try to fix, stto I sold them and got a set Lynx Black Cat Irons that I played from 1995 until 2010. I purchased a set of Nike Slingshot Irons, Driver ( which I seldom use...I prefer my 13° 3 metal ) and 3 & 4 Hybrid's...with Senior Flex graphite Shafts that actually give me almost the exact distance I was getting with my old clubs without swinging as hard.

What about putting these up against last year's F9 Speedback irons? I've enjoyed (somewhat surprisingly due to the size/shape) gaming the F9s in getting down into single digits, but I'm also a pretty high-spin player, so the F9 helped tame that, somewhat.

I like the tech. Very well thought out. We've lost sight of helping golfers. Blinded by distance. It's false to call a 7 Iron a PW, we have 8 Iron loft on 7 Iron bounce labeled "PW" for what other reason than to say, "My PW goes X distance?" A 7 Iron has 7° of bounce. A 9 Iron 9°. We need those skid plates, especially those who have trouble with contact. Which is where this club is marketed? And those of us who practice regularly and make good contact, we need those bounces for varying lie and conditions. It isn't always dry, 72°, and semi ruff on the golf course. Mid to high handicappers would be better served with the wide camber sole clubs "Lunchers" as they're now marketed. And no one should buy these at all. They look like a toy and are not suitable for beginner play.

Please do this with the one length set!
