I love aimlessly scrolling through TikTok to see what skincare products are going viral! Whether it's their 5th time going viral or it's a new skincare launch, I always want to try them / re-try them!
However, TikTok is notorious for exaggerating products results and claims. Results aren't always filter-free, and some brands will do anything to go viral!
So today we react to, test out and also debunk some viral TikTok skincare products!

@@TheNinjaNiky yes, boring and bland is the way to go if you have sensitive skin 😅 I didn’t know there was a CeraVe cult, it's just easily available and reliable for me. With very sensitive skin, it can be exhausting considering all the ingredients in every product and what could potentially irritate your skin, so CeraVe is a safe option. Like he said, it's boring but has all skin barrier building stuff, that’s what I need. Sure, I'd love to try the expensive miracle workers from abroad, but I can just pop to the pharmacy and buy CeraVe knowing it won’t cause my skin issues. People with sensitive skin can’t afford being very adventurous with skincare.

As a super pale person, I promise you that those "colour-switching" foundations don't "automatically match your skin tone!!!" They're just so light coverage that they can potentially work for a lot of skin tones, just not really optimally for any. They are dark orange, on me. All of them. They don't match you. There is no mechanism to "match" you. The pigments are held in suspension by some kind of oil or gel coating that "melts" into your skin. The pigments cannot detect your skin tone, to match. Nothing can do that, so far. So, unless you're a light to medium, and prefer very light-coverage foundation, don't waste your money. ... But then, IMO, you're better off buying a light coverage BB Cream IN YOUR SHADE, because, at least then you're not actively being lied to. Hell, if you're not super pale, try the Australian Gold Tinted Sunscreen. It's really pretty, if any of the shades fit you, and it dries down into a really nice, satiny finish that lasts all day. There are only 3 shades, but unless you're really terribly pale or maybe really deep, one of them should work for you. And even the lightest one doesn't turn you orange, it just makes you look a bit naturally tanned. And you absolutely do end up using enough of it to adequately protect your skin, unlike most BB Creams and other makeup-with-SPF products. 👍🏻👍🏻 Sunscreen is, without a doubt, the most important step in skincare, so please don't forget about it!

Yep, I tried this 5+ years ago, and it was super dark orange on my super pale cool toned skin. Covered up redness I guess, but it definitely didn't blend in to my complexion no matter how much I tried, even when I put foundation over it. Any time I see anything that says "for all skin tones" is immediately just 🚩 because it's either super sheer product or just is a lie

As a fellow vampire I agree 100%, those “self-adjusting” BB creams all go the same colour and make you look jaundiced or ashy if you aren’t in a particular colour range. If anyone is looking for a BB cream that is actually pale as death and which wears amazingly, the Missha M Signature BB cream in #13 is amazing. For deeper skin tones the Fenty Eaze Drops are awesome - they aren’t labelled as a BB cream, but they wear just like one.

Honestly that bb cream being trendy makes me laugh cause that "technology" was popular when J beauty was getting popular outside of Asia years ago. I'm pretty sure I had a green to skin tone one from L'Oréal in like 2009 in middle school. And that green to "your perfect skin tone" is a total gimmick. It does change colour but it doesn't magically know what skin tone you have. It's just incredibly sheer. Which BB cream is meant to be. But that marketing is almost false imo. I remeber they use to say the technology in the cream figures out your shade and matches it or something like one of the tiktoks said. So they always looked pale on me too as a teen. Something I noticed is that those pole "classic" Asian BB creams run a bit grey whilst I've noticed a lot of American/european one run a bit orange.

Same. I was using that BB cream daily like 8 years ago. At the time, I did like it and I wore minimal makeup so it fit my routine and hid my redness. Now I use It Cosmetics “Bye Bye Redness” as a base under my makeup and have learned how to properly apply makeup, which makes a huge difference 😂 I credit Robert Welsh.

I used to get migraines and I bought one of the masks from Amazon that he mentioned. It has those little silicone-like beads in a gel in a face mask that straps around your head. It’s definitely too cold in the freezer. I keep it in the fridge instead and it works great. I only get the occasional headache now and it’s still great for that. Doesn’t have eye holes either so it blocks light as well. It’s fantastic!

I’m sure you’ve already tried this, but if not, Ice on the brainstem/medulla (poke up the back of your neck with your head slightly bent back, you will feel the little soft pocket where your head “attaches to your spine”, that is the area to aim/put the ice!) is the only thing that helps me when meds aren’t doing it. The ice will “numb” your entire head a bit. Also helps those vertebral arteries that run along both sides of your cervical spine! Gotta aim for the nerves instead of the whole head, simply because it’ll take longer to ice the whole head 😩🤣 also, Botox is the only thing that has stopped my migraines and headaches. I also use a micro current face “massager” that has helped my tmj a good bit.

The CeraVe S is perfect for those parts that are extremly affected, for the rest we use the milk. Befor I had to use at least 5 Bandaids a day to patch up the wounds he had after waking up. But I absolutly can see why people with oilier skin might not like it that much Edit: changed the name of the skin condition after realizing I mixed up the words from psoriasis (which my partner has not) to keratosis pilaris (which he actually has)

I remember buying that exact L'Oreal BB cream 4 years ago when I moved to the UK (I was surprised when I saw that it's gone viral now!). I purchased it to try to smooth my redness from acne scars in my chin, I have to say my skin is very oily and my tone is rather yellow than pink. Well... this is my opinion, but it wouldn't do anything but leave my skin extra oily after a few moments when applied, also I remember that orange tone that would leave on my skin.

I'm kind of surprised that the green BB cream is recently viral, I've used it for a really long time. But I guess that's how Tiktok works - acting like old stuff is new. 😅 I only used it as a spot coverage when I had really red blemishes to color correct and then would go over with concealer. It worked ok. I haven't needed it in a while since I've started following the Welsh Twins. 😉 Better skin + better make up techniques

Thank You for having her on! I didn’t know of her but I really like her and plan on watching more of her! ❤️ To the powder, they do say their pores are blurred SO in a way they are saying it’s doing something it’s not. There sadly isn’t ANYTHING that’s going to make them GO! Some powders do blur but it’s not going to ERASE. I use the Foreo 2. The one that has the heat and cold. I really really like it. I also have rosacea and this is something that you don’t have to remember to put in the freezer. When you want to use it you just turn it. You definitely don’t have to buy their masks that go with it. I’ve used it with just regular serum many times. I do tend to usually use just the really cold temps. The clay mask… too much money for the same exact thing every clay mask does. The spots that show up when it dries is literally just the clay settling into your pores. Lol. So ridiculous for them to act like it’s brought anything out. Lol it does clean sure. I’ve used the Glamglow Supermud for like 13 years and even sleep with it on sometimes. The drying part does tighten your skin to a degree and after sleeping with it, my pores are tiny tiny. You get a TON for the price too although it does have like actual pieces of mud stuff in it that I like to pick off lol.
