Well, don’t rely on modern day entertainment to show you. They can’t make anything without modernizing it. Just go watch some older shows from the 80s and 90s. Like Buffy or Angel. I’ve never watched those and I’m currently watching them. It’s 100 times better than the shit that’s coming out today.

Technically, it was a non-functioning time machine and the knife stabbing the console fixed it. It explains this in the movie. It just looks like a photo booth.

They exaggerated 1987. That 80's fashion was the early 80's. By 86 they were dressing like the 90's

No, that's not how this works. If its 1950, you aren't dressing nearly like 1955, 1955 is dressing like the design changes after the 1940s. If it is 1986, it isn't BaSiCalLy the 1990s, it is a product of the 1980s that you are seeing, the 1990s is dressing like the 1980s with introduction changes in fashion design and ideals.

Depending on what part of the world you were in. I know Texas and Jamaica were at least 5 years behind Los Angeles in the 90's.

I watched it and it's really bad, no hints at who the killer might be, mediocre acting, terrible VFX, not funny. I'd rather recommend *Palm Springs* if you want a funny & smart time travel movie or *Freaky* if you want a slasher movie.
