Salads have always been a mystery to me. Now I need to eat more vegetables for health reasons. I actually bought books of salad recipes! However, I ended up casting them aside as some of the ingredients were very exotic and hard to get. This video was what I needed. Simple ingredients and clear instructions. Now I can make my own variations and very cheaply. Thanks Jamie.

Best video ever of Jamies! I've finally got it down---taking a salad to work everyday. A mixture of vegetables keeps in the refrig for the week (red pepper, carrots, cabbage, herbs, onions), as does the dressing, and cold cooked meat. In the a.m. add lettuce, vegetables, meat, dressing, toss, then ad nuts, pop plastic into the cooler to take to work. Yummy!

This video is perfect for me! I am suffering from psoriasis and am only permitted to eat specific foods - mainly leafy vegetables. I have made salads before but could not enjoy them because they were wet and bland without good dressing. I learned here that you can make a good looking dressing from scratch that doesn't conflict with my strict diet. Great information!

I think I have psoriasis too. What diet are you following?
@DavidBrown309 жыл бұрын
andrea I'm following the John Pagano diet, but I'm a little too loose with it. Basically, you may eat anything other than fried foods, red meats, refined sugars, and processed foods. Stay focused on veggies (mainly green leafy ones) and everything should start healing up (but after several months...) Very hard depending on your current eating habits, but well worth it. I'm still fighting to go through everything.

I agree. I buy whole heads of kale and romaine lettuce and prep myself. By accident and out of necessity, I put together my own vegetable washer/storer which works quite efficiently. I always keep my own mix vinaigrette and use a 3/2/1 measure, oil/balsamic/water. I spice at will, directly into the salad before adding vinaigrette. Then toss thoroughly and it comes together beautifully. I vary my cheese but prefer feta. In my book, "Everything's betta with feta!" CHEERS!!! 🤓👍🏻
