hutch I think the media played a huge part in that. As time went on they weren't so kind so she kinda closed herself off.

I certainly understand why she became more private and guarded, but even her mannerisms and ability to answer easy questions changed. In most interviews, she started talking with a whisper and always seemed a bit paralyzed. I remember her on the All For You tour being asked how many people were in her band and how many songs were in her tour setlist and she just fumbled. She sounded more like an adult at 16 and then more like a child as she got older.

hutch I remember her saying years ago that she never liked doing interviews. I think as she got older she tends to over think things. Not wanting to say the wrong things. She was very open and friendly here. She has a lot of self-esteem issues and is most definitely an introvert. Which is why she struggles answering the simple questions. For someone who has been in the spotlight for so long... It seems like she loves it because it's all she knows but hates it because it exposes her to many people.

Peachy Queen - All good points. One big side note: It seems that she bends too much to the will of whatever man happens to be in her life, and that affects her outward behavior. First her father, then Rene Elizondo was calling the shots, then she got with Dupri and he became her producer and creative guru (hurting the quality of her music), then she married the Muslim and covered herself up and started saying Inshallah in her music, and it seems her choreographer/friend Gil is running the show. He speaks for her in videos and interviews and she stays quiet in the background.

hutch She has a co-dependent personality. She tends to put the men in her live in control of her life. I think that has a lot to do with the way she grew up under a domineering father and a very submissive mother. I as a fan have never liked that about her. She needs to be single for a good while this time. Especially now with a son.

I personally do not find her pretty anymore and it's not because she's aged.

99% of celebrities in Hollywood have new noses. You name them and they got them including Beyonce, Rihanna, Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, All the Cast of friends, etc. The focus on the Jacksons are a little extreme and they do it to MJ unjustly forgetting how he suffered 3rd degree burns to his scalp which required hair transplants, vitiligo (pale skin disease) spreading/requiring heavy makeup, and discoid lupus that cause lesions on the skin. All of those things related to his health, they turned into "plastic surgery."
