All three of Janet's husbands look alike eventhough they are different ethnicities. Her being with Jermaine threw me for a loop but she looked so happy with him. Just when I began to accept his little gremlin self being with her then the rumors came out that he cheated. I got mad all over again when she confirmed it 🤣. I agree with the comments about the Janet doc. There were certain topics where she barely even spoke about the topic. I don’t remember her saying anything about Poetic Justice. Everything we found out was from Regina King and Q-Tip. I would’ve loved to hear about her experience from her especially since I’ve seen docs where they interview other people on a topic then have the star of the doc respond to what was said during those interviews. Also…even if she told Justin not to say anything…he could’ve spoke up. The way she phrased what happened seemed like he put it out there as a question about if he should speak up instead of coming to her saying he WOULD stick up for her as a heads up.

I don't think Madonna would have been a good choice to induct Janet because she shares the Queen of Pop platform with Janet. But I think somebody like Paula Abdul would've been a good choice, because not only is she a contemporary, but she was instrumental in shaping her persona as a dance icon.

It is sad that all the potholes in her life, were tied to men. Joe, James, Renee, Justin, Michael and even Jermaine. BUT the thing that makes me smile is to know, is while it was going on, she never cried and played the victim, like a lot of the celebrities do these days. That said, us super fans did know most of this so I would have been nice to see some never revealed secrets or info.

There’s a thin line between discipline and abuse. I think Joe Jackson crossed that line. They definitely downplayed his abuse for the documentary because you can look up what they’ve all said in the past. It seems like they have forgiven him and made peace with it since he has died.

Janet is divorced. She received a huge settlement. There were rumors that Jermaine and Janet got back together or at least seeing each other. Her ex husband is the father of her baby

Keep in mind this was a network documentary with commercials and time constraints. This wasn't a only for the fans doc, it was a let me introduce and remind the world who I am. And I'm a super Janet Fan and understand this.

Janet hits were mainly pop, but Janet has been making R&B since Control. You’d really have to go back and listen to the albums in full to understand that she was more than pop.

A Michael/Janet tour would of been HUUUUGE back then, wonder why Michael dismissed the idea...

Seems like Michael secretly competed against Janet although Janet never seemed to want to compete against her brother. That’s the vibes I got when Janet talked about how she was treated while they made the Scream video.
@EstherTeejaay
@EstherTeejaay 2 жыл бұрын
@@fancyfanny6143 y’all need to listen again to what Janet said. She said Michael’s TEAM, tried to distance Janet from Michael. The same team he literally called out for the way they treated him as well as other artists under that team. They definitely controlled a lot that he did that people don’t even realise. Michael ADORED his sister and they never competed and he actually hated when people would compare him to his sister because that was his LITERAL sister. No one should be compared to family.
@fancyfanny6143
@fancyfanny6143 2 жыл бұрын
@@EstherTeejaay ok I could see that. The editing didn’t help much. One minute Michael is talking about the second “Ooh” was off, then the next Janet is talking about they won’t let her on set. They seemed to be trying to make Michael look controlling. Like he’s a major perfectionist at the very least.
@EstherTeejaay
@EstherTeejaay 2 жыл бұрын
@@fancyfanny6143 him being in the studio telling her the second “ooh” was off was literally just him having a good ear for music and wanting his sister to sound good. It probably stood out a lot to him because he literally has perfect pitch. There are a few artists in the industry who have perfect pitch, and he’s one of them. He definitely was a perfectionist but NEVER controlling, especially when it came to Janet.

Great commentary about Janet! I agree with so much of it. It was definitely about her brothers too much, but she has always been sensitive about her family. And this was her opportunity to defend them and rehabilitate the Jackson image. I also didn't really think she revealed anything new, but I expected that. She doesn't even tell her siblings about her marriages. Why do people assume that she's gonna share her private life with the world?

Not only did "men ruin her stuf," they also profited off of her stuff. Without Janet at the superbowl there would be no KZfaq, which means there would be no Netflix, which means there would be no Disney + There would be no Streaming period. (at least to the prominence that it is now)
