I am very excited for this new movie cause I am one of those few people who played pokemon from red and blue though I only started watching when diamond and pearl. I've stopped watching the anime after ash left so I hope this movie might spark that light again for the anime I once loved.

I feel like this live action is going to make me cry hahaha... just the themes of nostalgia and having to learn how to take care of yourself as an adult but still longing for the comfort of your childhood... it makes me sentimental :'(

A Pokemon slice of life drama without the real life pokemon? It's a rather interesting idea, and a idea I like. These slice of life dramas are a great way to kick back and to relax, and what makes this slice of life better than the others around it is that it's going to fill with nostalgia. Also it ain't aimed at kids makes it even better :)

Hey Charles, I am intrigued of this live action proposal since Detective Pikachu movie. If anything, I hope this can be seen outside Japan. It has to if this live action adaptation need to surpass its own expectations. And forgive me for saying this: I have only watched the first 7 or 8 episodes of Horizons. I have taken a hiatus from the new anime series for reasons that I no longer engage to share my thoughts and feelings with anyone because, simply put, I no longer have the passion to talk about Pokémon with the fandom and the content creators that review the anime, even after Ash’s era. It’s no fun anymore. I just watch the series at my own pacing and forbid myself to share opinions with anyone. That time has past and over. Any fandom is toxicated, believe it or not. But now, if this new live action show exceed my expectations while proceeding to undo my unfazed demeanor, perhaps I can unseal myself from sharing my thoughts and feelings with certain content creators again. For now, everyone is prohibited to know my opinions about Horizons and this new drama show; even you as well Charles. We shall see. Thanks for the info. I’ll look forward to it.

Not too sure how I feel about this tbh. Maybe it's because I'm still in college but I just don't feel super convinced by the premise? Like I think most of us would've liked to see a more fantastical production set in the Pokémon world, in the vein of Detective Pikachu But considering how the main character's surname is Akagi (from the word "Red"), if this ends up using RG/B's plot as a kind of allegory for her adult life, then I might be more interested? Like the plot of the games plays out but with unique twists on characters and certain Pokémon

All of you are going insane over nothing, you know this, right? It's not going to be a 'live action red and blue', it's a story about some girl who moves back to tokyo from college, works at an ad agency, and starts replaying the old pokemon red and green games. It's literally just another dime-a-dozen workplace j-drama that happens to have a pokemon subplot/thread and some references.

I don't understand why we get kooky spin-offs like Detective Pikachu and high concept experiments like this before someone decides to faithfully adapt the most successfull franchise in existance. Japanese live action shows/movies don't work. The acting is either stiff or exaggerated. Lo and behold, the first trailer looks like one of those old game commercials. And I don't care whether or not the main actress likes Pokemon. She's supposed to act.

I hate everything about the new show. It sounds boring as heck. I want battles & action. Not some person who's feeling down because her job is hard. I'm not going to watch this one
