I'm in Tokyo Japan exploring Ameyayokocho Market which is the city's street food paradise. This is one of the few "flea markets" in Tokyo remaining, and you'll find a lot of fresh fruits, groceries, many restaurants, and a variety of delicious Japanese street foods.

@tieuquy linthinh Well, it depends on where you live. When I lived and worked in the Tohoku region, I was fine. The cost of living was lower. I lived in that region for 5 years. The remaining 3 I lived in Tokyo. That was expensive since the cost of living was higher.

I can definitely relate, just got back from Japan. It's not that you don't like other tourists, but you would rather be immersed among locals and not necessarily people you're used to seeing back home.

I read a review from some guy who stayed in a Buddhist monastery while visiting Japan with his family and it basically said "really interesting to see how the monks live but the location was very touristy" and then one of the actual monks responded to his review like "what do you think you were ASSHOLE" it was amazing
@ChaunceyDos
@ChaunceyDos 5 жыл бұрын
The whole "it's good because there are no tourists here" notion is so outdated. There are less secrets in the world, and people who travel for food will likely know the good local spots at this point. Also, he is kind of insulting his own show, which caters to would be tourists.

@@ojasb5391 Hello, yes, there are numbers of brand chicken that are not raised in the cramped broiler house. Free range chicken or egg is a little bit fancy price though the meat is flavorful. (not gamey) Torisuki (とりすき = Sukiyaki with Chicken), Oyako-don (Chicken and Egg Bowl), Even Chicken Sashimi can be found at places where good chicken is raised. But of course, we don't use the brand chicken for everyday meal! 😅

I haven't tried melons in Japan, but love the grapes! My parents had grapes as dessert in a Japanese restaurant a few years back, and loved it so much that they went looking for a supermarket on their own(they don't really understand the transportation system, so they really went out of their way for this) to get more. They wouldn't stop talking about it when they got back, so I was like " ok, i'll give it a try when I go next time". needless to say, I'm hooked too :P

I find myself often binging your videos, as I'm super interested in the cuisine this world has to offer. At least, that's what I expected. I find myself instead craving noodles everyday and I now own like 4 jars of hot oil made from different recipes.... You've made me an addict, man!
