Emi, thank you so much for the video. My dad was from P.E and I spent my early early years there with my Gran, lakeside... such awesome memories of sardinha bay.... always used to get a footlong from the German man when we went to play on the beach... damn, thank you for radiating the warmth of that special place

What a AWSOME story of how you came to SA!!! I have never been to PE,But iv been to Cape Town,Durban and plettenberg bay and Plett was by far the best!! way more relaxed,better weather all in all,and the people are also really nice down there! Me and my family were making plans a few years ago to move down there,but sadly those have faded..... But we still would love to move there

Well... did not expect that! God is good! Some of my fav spots: Settlers Park but go in day time and in a group :) PE Golf Club has some nice walking routes, golf is good too. Air Force Museum, always has cool planes they are working on restoring. We even have a haunted house!

Awwww! I love PE too!!! I lived in Cape Town and intensely disliked it and moved back to PE. I just adore it. The people, the weather, the chilled vibe!❤️❤️❤️❤️

I am from Gqeberha [Port Elizabeth] but I have had the opportunity to lived in Midrand and Randburg for 7 months and visited Cape Town five times. I struggle to make new friends in Midrand and reconnect with old ones from around. Cape Town is beautiful but it felt so foreign /European. I still would visit but the people in Gqeberha are friendly and more trusting.

Political answer: "Because the ANC havn't been running it for a few years" (Try that on some South Africans, especially those from ANC-run KZN, to get a bitter laugh of agreement) Good pronunciation on 'Gqeberha' btw :D PE vs CT: Mostly the people. CT is _so_ clique. PE people are actually friendly. Honestly, large areas of Durban are a lot like PE, except a bit less well maintained.

If you ever visit Durban, I highly recommend you stay in Balito. It’s a very convenient area to be in. Zimbali’s also great.

I think if you don't understand why PE is great, you'll never understand it. And the fact that so many South Africans don't think PE is great, is why it remains such a gem for those of us who love it - It keeps it peaceful! ☺ Also, Emi, it's so funny that you should mention that God sent you there, because the first time and second I moved there was because God had called me to work there for my church. It changed my life and became my favourite city in South Africa. Also, when I was there, I saw God everywhere and in everything (especially at Sards 🥹).

Oh yes, PE is it's own little city and so charming. It has been around since 1820, thanks to the cheek of the British government in 'finding employment' for a batch of workless families back home - this within about ten years of London taking permanent control from the Dutch of the Cape colony. Hence also East London has a 'British label': Port Elizabeth's name change doesn't convince everybody. A flourishing, small city, today. The diversity of South Africa is so huge, that just like in PE, we can stay busy all over SA in town & country all year long, and that doesn't include the safari with the wildlife. The Christian heritage here is fundamental, and is also cross cultural, yet enjoying one's own culture is the insistence of most of us, too: praise the Lord.

Great video beautiful daughter of Christ, thank you for showing the beauty of SA and PE. I must admit, I dont know much about SA (outside of the negative press) and PE (knew so little about this that I thought PE meant Pretoria), but this video showed me how diverse and beautiful Africa really is.

Of all the Cities in SA, PE is the most like Cape Town. Like a mini neglected version of Cape Town...lol. I'm from CT and live in CT, but my favorite place in the world is Namibia, and I can't explain why either. It used to be extremely safe and friendly (relative to South Africa), and I've hitch-hiked up and down the country multiple times making friends along the way. Some good friends I made from there were from PE.
