Sakai, Osaka Sakai's knife culture has more than 600 years of history.
Satoshi Nakagawa studied under his master Kenichi Shiraki for 16 years, and as his only disciple and successor, he inherited his predecessor's techniques and factory, becoming the youngest person to obtain a traditional craftsmanship certificate.
Using a variety of steel materials, and using the high level of knives and processing techniques, he produces knives with unique patterns.
His techniques and popularity are supported by chefs all over the world, and we were able to get up close and personal with the professional handiwork of the influx of orders.

Lebst du in Deutschland?

Would love to have some translation subtitles on your videos. Love the content but also would love to hear what the blacksmiths have to say. Makes half of the video unwatchable since I don’t want what they’re saying. Here’s hoping you provide that in the near future! Keep up the phenomenal work!
