Another wonderful video, guys. Satoshi, you must have a very sensitive and educated pallet. The way you describe what you are eating and the flavours and sensations you experience, is almost like being there with you! I too saw you both on Asian Boss a while ago. You are a credit to your community for being so open and I hope that you were a help to many. Bravo!

There's something so menacing about the phrasing Satoshi uses when he talks about older and younger animals. "The parents meat is firmer than the baby one." and just calling the food you're ripping your teeth into "the child one" will always have me doing a double-take, lol

In the UK we call the little warm glass healing domes, cups and the treatment is called cupping. I've wanted to try it as I have ostieoarthritis throughout my body, but it soooo exspensive here. I may try to buy the cups myself and read up on how to do it myself.

I lived in Zentsuji for three years, taught at a few schools around there, Kotohira, too... tried to learn as much as I could when I was there. I spent the whole video trying to guess where you would go, do, or eat. When you were talking about going for a mid-day snack in Marugame I thought you might go to Kamado, but it just goes to show how much has changed in the two or three decades since then. Marugame had a wonderful Indian place, too, one of the best I loved so much... and of course, Ikaku, too. My favorite udon place is in Zentsuji, though, Yamashita Udon. I've eaten at every place you showed here, though. Shoyu udon is the best I think.
@eslshrader4100

I remember going to Miyatake Udon I think it was in Kotohira pretty often, too. They were on the Dochi Ryori Show later if I remember correctly. I'll never forget how the owner (I think he was the owner) used to remember everyone's order. Before living in Kagawa I loved soba and ramen (I lived in Ogikubo Tokyo before that), but here I ate it pretty much every day. One of the best experiences of my life, learning to appreciate a food that seems so simple, but... It's not simple at all.
