Fun octopus facts: - Rubbing a large amount of salt before prepping octopus makes it less slimy and completely removes the 'fishy smell' - Messaging the tentacles loosens up the tentacle muscles so it isnt as chewy when you eat it

The regulations for sushi in Japan make ours for food safety look like a joke. To serve fugu or blowfish takes 2 years to learn how to prepare it safely and then only afterwards are you permitted.

This was absolute beautiful to watch! The chef prepped everything himself and watching him score that squid was amazing! He kept that thing intact the whole time until it was ready to be cut! And the presentation! This is why I love Japanese cuisine especially sushi!

I am so jealous of whoever is making these videos. To be able to travel and eat the foods they get to eat are a dream of mine! Man does that look delicious! I absolutely love sushi and Sashimi. I could only wish for having access to such fresh fish and seafoods. As a chef all I can get here is frozen fish and seafood with the exception of some shellfish as well as crab when it's in season here in my state.

That was very fun to watch. I don’t eat squid or octopus (don’t enjoy the flavor or the suction cups) but it was interesting to see how they prepared it. I was in awe at the amount of skill and control the gentleman had of what looked like a freaking sword. Obviously a master of his craft.

The skill and patience to cut that fish so it could better fold on the sushi is beyond me. Looks so good though

Púlpo me encanta hasta crudo que bien limpio y qué bien preparado yo no he visto como estos señores limpia el pescado también nunca lo he visto una maravilla pero el pulpo me encanta qué bueno hasta crudo me lo comería ❤️
