Uno dei più grandi piloti...purtroppo e morto troppo giovane...ma resta nel cuore di chi seguiva la gare di moto..in quegli anni...come me..che oggi ho 64 anni...ma mi ricordo chi era....

Great video, remember seeing Jarno race in a few UK international races. In my opinion, he was the best rider in the world at that time. It was a real tragedy when he and Renzo Pasolini died in a accident that could of been prevented.

1973 Monza a tragic day with lives cut short this was a painful reminder of how little regard there was then for riders safety the race should never have been run until the oil spill was cleaned up and there was no official warning of the track condition less then 2 months later after another fatality the circuit was closed down until 1981. Jarno was a genuine phenomenon his ice racing background having a bearing on his riding style I think but this was a time when MV had been dominating the 350 and 500 classes for some years and it was exciting that a relative unknown was challenging them this was the start of the 2 stroke era of course and as much as this moment was thrilling I really missed MV when they was not there anymore in fact Jarno's death and MV pulling out were two shocking racing milestones for me. I always wished I could channel Jarno's spirit when I was racing unfortunately this never happened he had more talent in his little finger then I had in my whole body, lol.

Moottoripyörän annoin erääseen museoon suomessa.. Jarno oli legenda, kuten Tepi Länsivuori, Heikki Mikkola ja monet, monet muut 🇫🇮:en moottoriurheilun nimet

Lapsina ajeltiin polkupyörillä kilpaa tt-ajoja kupittaan liikennepuistossa.. Joku oli vuorollaan Saarinen ja toinen Agostiini ja Länsipuro...yms polvet ja kyynerpäät ruhjeilla. Viikon kuluttua kun ruhjeet oli "parantuneet" niin kupittaan tt-ajot taas kutsui pihan poikia❤
