though Yen was more reserved than Jaskier, Jaskier saw his opportunity to press his whole body against Geralt immediately XD

Geralt couldn't even properly apologize to Jaskier in s2. I was really angry how Geralt is still treating him after the mountain. If I were Jaskier I would have cursed his existence to the moon and back. Despite them being my OTP. Which is why I am drowning myself in fanfictions to forget the wreckage of s2.

Ironically with where they’ve brought the story in season 2, Yennefer is now the person that seems to acknowledge and value not only Jaskier’s capabilities, but him as a person the most, while everyone else just sort of..brushes him off, dismisses him, or forgets he’s there (in terms of the Geralt, Witcher Keep and co). Geralt does break him from jail and say he needs his help, he does entrust him to travel with Ciri and says sorry, but after that’s done Jaskier seems to be regulated back to being an afterthought. Which, objectively Geralt has a lot on his plate and most of it revolving around Ciri who is and should be his first priority as a parent figure, but it is telling how it’s Jaskier who Yennefer goes to with the stone, it’s his arms she stumbles into after the fight. She’s the one who knows about Jaskier’s torture and who saved him, who knows he’s the Sandpiper and of what he experienced to make him become that, beyond the performance of comic relief bard he puts up. While I really love their new dynamic and how they developed this season, it’s kind of sad how their relationship has grown closer to the kind of dynamic that Geralt and he actually had in the books than between he and Geralt themselves.
