Wendy Wilson with W2 Communications had an opportunity to interview actress Jasmine Guy (A Diffterent World and Harlem Knights) when she was in Albany, Ga. Jasmine talks about her book and relationship with the late Tupac Shakur.

Jasmine Guy has always been one of the most underrated comedy actresses in TV history. Looking at all those episodes of "A Different World" I am so impressed by how her and Kadeem Hardison held that show together for such a long run. Kadeem also hasn't gotten his much-deserved praises.

I can't understand all the people saying she doesn't look good. She looks great and NATURAL! A woman who has aged gracefully without plastic surgery or botox. Bravo to her! Loved her on A Different World! This interview was in 2012 so she would have been 50. I'd say she looks pretty damn good for 50. She's slim and pretty.

For the people that have been harping on her looks, I wonder how many actually paid attention to the interview and message? We have to get over the superficial aspects of things sometimes. This is a really good and informative interview.

Yes she is a smart and beautiful young lady, she was also a part of a positive movement with her acting role as Whitney in “A Different World” so gracefully beautiful, and I especially enjoyed listening to that sophisticated southern drawl. She was an inspirational cast in that show, for many college students.

+Caramel Spice Exactly. Jasmine speaks with intelligent substance that matters, including in this video. ... and I'm not easily impressed by entertainers because a lot of them say things just for effect. This is in contrast to her flighty and funny character as Whitley (Different World), which made her famous. But Jasmine is in reality down to earth and genuinely cares about people and progress. She made a positive impression on many and no one can take that away, whether or not she ever works again.

My father is white & my mother is Indonesian & black I’m a mother of three grown girls & I have very little wrinkles or stretch marks I’ve aged well thank u. So all people age differently so don’t tell that lie about all mixed people with white parents age bad I’m a still a dime bitch 😏

I feel horrible that people rag on her so much. Women don't get to age, it's awful. I think being very beautiful as a younger woman is both a blessing and a curse because you will forever be compared to your younger self and who can compete with that.

EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE NOT SEEN HER IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA ON THE REGULAR, SHE HAS BEEN WORKING BEHIND THE SCENES. SHE IS A REALLY INTELLIGENT YOUNG LADY. I WAS UNAWARE THAT SHE HAS LUPUS, BUT SHE STILL LOOKS GOOD. YOUNG LADY KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO.

This white boy had a huge crush on her when she was on ADW. She's still fine. And as some1 who's only 6 years younger than her, I certainly look nothing like I did when I was a high schooler in the mid-80's. she's talented, smart, well-spoken, funny & knows the issues. She's got it all going on...mind, body & soul.

1987-1989 I think the series went on for on a different world.she still looks the same to me as her years back she inspiring, intelligent, and very beautiful shes 50+ and she doesn't look 50+ she looks like she's in her 30s .

+Shon9tilR Her genetics are why she has aged faster in appearance. It may have come from her mother's side, since she is biracial. But yes, she does not have Lupus based on her own written confirmation online. My older sister has lupus (formal diagnosis) and she is over 50 but people are always impressed with her youthful appearance when they find out her age (some don't believe it).

I think Whitley ruined her career. She played her so well you want Whitley only and can’t look past how different she is. It’s bizarre to be honest. Out of all celebrities she really is so different than her character on tv.
