Part 2 of the build from my Basic Armour Modelling series, this time we tackle the Tamiya 1/35 Sturmgeschütz IV (Stug IV), this tank is an older model from Tamiya, dating from 1970 but still holds up well with good fit and a good basic level of detail.
In this part we get tackle the painting and decalling, in this video I show you how to spray Tamiya acrylics and how to apply decals.

Sorry to be critical but in Britain it's decal (dee cal) and not decal (deck all) as they say in the U.S. It comes from the French word "decalcomania". Otherwise great build and thank you..

I bought this kit the other week as a cheap way to get into scale modelling. Done a few 1/48 kits but wanted to do something bigger scale wise. Coming from miniature figure painting this is a whole other challenge that I'm looking forward to. Thanks for the great vid for general tips plus this kit in particular!

The use of decals from a different kit might throw the novice off balance if they can't find the decals that you used. Just a thought. 😊❤😊

Ever consider putting in the welds? This kit is lacking that detail.

I use gum turpentine with my oils and have no problems

What type of thinners are you using to thin the Raw Umber oils for your panel line pin wash? I noted on the "Low Odour Thinners" labelled bottle you decanted from with the pipette, but missed any mention by you of thinners type. Low odour turpentine?

Great vid for beginners.....I hate rubber band tracks....esp. the ones you melt like Tamiya.

Can I ask why you didn't prime before the airbrush? Or does anybody know why I shouldn or shouldn't prime before airbrushing?

The straw thing I sometimes Player around with something to drink like this but i never thought this'd would be useful for anything

Good video!!! always use Micro-Sol (red bottle) all the time. never really used the Micro-Set (blue bottle) that much, if ever. Going to have to give the Micro-Set another chance - see the benefits now.
