Jaws has been released on 4K Blu-ray in a Best Buy Steelbook, here is my review!

Jaws is my all time favorite movie. I can’t even say how many times I’ve seen it. 50? Maybe 100? I don’t know but it’s a lot. I can pretty much recite every line as the actors say them. Anyway, I received my 4k version today ( not the steelbook) and I’m almost in complete agreement with this review. I guess the only thing I would change is to make the video an A and the audio an A+. The video was outstanding, but I was blown away by the audio. It sounded so pure, especially the dialogue. I’ve never heard any version of Jaws have such pure and sweet sounding dialogue from the front channel.

The blu-ray already looks stunning. This was my first horror movie I ever saw when I was 5. My dad was cool. I could watch whatever horror movie I wanted.

I put in the Blu-ray Disc instead of the 4K version by mistake and did not realize my mistake for an hour. It looks just as good as the 4K version and the colors are brighter!!

Great review. I have watched it twice since I got the same steelbook. Love it! The Shark is Still Working is a badass documentary feature, too!

Got my steelbook a few days ago. Only had time to watch the first 15 minutes or so. The sound is amazing and so is the picture of what I've seen so far.

Got my steelbook yesterday. I’ve been waiting for this one. I thought the blu-ray they did was great until I saw the 4K. I didn’t watch the movie yet just put it in to see how it looked and sounded.i was 10 years old when this came out waiting in those lines. To me this is a special movie to me personally and my favorite of all time. So looking forward to watching this tonight. This probably will be the last edition for this one so. I have the vhs dvd , 25 th anniversary 35 th anniversary on dvd the Blu-ray and now 4K don’t see a 8 k coming in the future. My wife is always saying how many do you need. Just one more honey 😂😂👍

My local Best Buy has two 4k steelbooks left in stock and I just bought one of them and I’ll pick it up when they open. Can’t wait to see how it looks and sounds!

Only store that had it around here was Best Buy..in the steel book! Sent my son after it for pick up. Hadn't seen it yet, but I haven't read a single bad thing about it. Can't wait!! Still need to get that plate holder!! LOL

Actually there is no need to comment if this was your personal thing. But in public platform yes . The blue ray was great and this transfer was a bit darker in some scenes. The Atmos is something gud

The steelbook looks awesome, but I honestly prefer my copy of the "digibook" 4K of Jaws with the lenticular slipcover and booklet (same as the original digibook). This is still hands down in my top 3 Spielberg movies.

I hope the music score has a little more closeup presence on the 4K than on the 1080p. It's my only beef with the 1080p--the music was too thin and reverbed out in the 7.1.

I think its the best ever on 4k but I'm going to buy it later..... there is the Columbia Classic 4K Ultra HD Collection releasing soon that I have pre-ordered and thats going to be amazing, and then there is also the 4k steelbooks for gladiator and braveheart that I want to get as well so thats almost 200 bucks right there...... alsoooooo not to mention I still haven't gotten other classics like Wizard of Oz or E.T. on 4k first so ya I'm going to hold back on this release for now but defently still picking it up in the future.

Very good, different question. I am looking to update my 9 year old Dolby dts surround sound system of Sony by a soundbar atmos dts x compatible. I like the LG sn11rg but the Q90r saves me 1/3 the price. What would you do MovieGuy365?

Both are rated pretty good, go with the q90r if it saves you $$$.

So the steelbook does not have the booklet...correct? If so I'll probably just get the regular release with the booklet.

Epic film but don`t watch it with me lol might be my most watched film ever or close Steelbook looks nice but so does mine so 4k yes when it comes around for sure.

I must have bad eyes because I found it hard to see a difference on jaws and I hear comments on some 4K’s being worse and Blu-ray like how is that possible. But oh well.

Old comment but same experience here. Calibrated tv twice and tried all. Difference is minimal or there is not at all. Some scenes better in 2012 blu-ray...

Yeah some like film grain, but myself I hate it.....Just makes it look like a crappy copy of a movie........Sometimes it seems there is more grain than film..

One of my all time favorite movies. That said, the film grain is unacceptable. I understand that film grain is unavoidable for old films, but grain shouldn't be a distraction. Very disappointed.
