I was at one of her concerts taking pictures with my camara when she noticed me, took my camera and took a "selfie" and I am talking around 1994 when that happened, I kissed her hand. All while she was singing. That's who she was as a beautiful artist and human Still have those pictures from that night as well as some others from different concerts. RIP

It was indoors at the Houston Astrodome. It was held during the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, which happens every Spring and why there was dirt on the ground.

Jamel I rarely tell people this because after all these years it still makes me feel so emotional. As we know Selena was murdered a few weeks shy of her 24th birthday. Well my husband and a group of friends saw Selena in concert on her 23rd birthday. No one of course knew that she would not live to see her 24th. It was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to in my life. And incidentally the Barrio Boys opened for her. We have a lot of original pictures from that day and I will cherish them always. Thank you for the reaction and for keeping Selena’s music alive. Also incidentally I met her husband Chris Perez in LA the night before they unveiled her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Being a Latina there are no words to express how much Selena means to us as a people. Thank you so much.❤️🙏🏼

It was a huge thing for her to be a headliner at the Rodeo. Turns out it will probably be the most important, most remembered concert ever to happen at the Rodeo.

The location was the Astrodome, in Houston, TX. It was during the rodeo. Her husband was lead guitar, which you can see over her right shoulder. Her brother is the bass player, over her left shoulder. She still brings joy and good times, even after her death. Notice also, when she was singing, in some cases how far she held the mic from her. She was really putting out.
