Thank you Jayson. Episodes like this one (and many of your others) helped me to see that I was accepting scraps, and I finally got out. I'm much happier now. You helped me a lot with your podcast!

My partner and I just broke up because he’s going through a lot and going back to his pattern of trying to do it himself like you mention at 7:50. I so wish he would have wanted to prioritize the relationship and lean on me, but I’m moving on. Thank you for sharing that there is something else possible for me. I’ve been “tolerating scraps” for our whole year-long relationship. I really needed your message today. My question is how do I stop attracting only scraps?

Me and my significant other is are having trouble. I'm anxious and he's avoidant. He doesnt want to have sex till we feel connected, but that's all I do is try to build the connection. So it's one big horrible cycle where I'm putting in so much but it's not enough. He puts effort in to. How I speak to him is nick picked a lot and it's hard to say the right things all the time. What should I do?

No. In my case, the ex-wife was still calling initially. They were just friends. Yea. I found his car in her driveway at 2 am. Pace yourself ladies and keep legs closed and NEVER give with all four chambers of your heart. Self first.

@@chilloften God first, then self. You cant help anyone else till you clean yourself up. I know from experience.. I have been successful married to the same man for 33yrs. The advice i give anyone that askes is " if you cant forgive your husband or wife to be for the most haness thing then you have no buisness getting married". Marriage is about compromise, helping each other, and forgiveness.....forgiveness has to be granted to someone. People cant earn forgiveness, it has to be granted.
