Right now I’m also trying to stick to a Korean learning schedule! I’m doing a pretty intensive schedule of 7 talk to me in Korean lessons and 35-50 words one Memrise a day! I usually memorize vocab everyday on my train ride to and from work and do lessons and take notes in the morning! If you don’t want to do that much, even doing 15 minutes of Memrise and one TTMIK lesson a day is very helpful! Each lesson is less than 15 minutes too so it’s really easy to listen to and digest in small pieces!

I was previously studying Korean 2-3 hours a day but tired mystery out after only a week. I’m now doing smaller lessons. I learned it’s important not to bite off more than you can chew! :)

The Genki test book is already a great textbook for beginners & self-study. I can tell you practise pronunciation a lot !! This is immensely helpful for me, I haven’t really got a good study routine, I tend to study only one at a time ; reading or writing or speaking or listening. 12 years of journaling 😱 it’s so relaxing and therapeutic right? I hope you keep putting out videos , this is so good 💖

You're working so hard!! We love to see it. Just wanted to let you know there was a mistake in your first journal entry about your grammar class. When you use になる with い adjectives, the い becomes a く and you drop the に. So it should be むずかしくなります. But, with na adj and nouns you use ni 頑張ってね

I've never really cared about a person being left handed very much, but in this case I just started thinking about how you write characters so beautifully and that it's kind of been hard trying to find a style to write nicely compactly and sometimes I write lines tilting weirdly and it's just been kind of hard- I think of "well, a lot of people are forced to write with their right hand so maybe mine will never look as nice as right handed people because it's intended to be that way"- but after seeing you write, I feel hopeful. I realized you were left handed after thinking that and it just makes me really happy and inspires me. I know this is small and dumb to care about, but it really is nice to see nonetheless.

One recommendation I'd like to make for those also studying from NHK Easy News: instead of translating it into English try and ask yourself questions in Japanese about the article (and answer them in Japanese). Really pick the article apart: what's the topic of the article? What's the subject of this sentence? What's the subject doing/thinking/feeling, etc.? It's a bit more tedious but I found that it really helped me understand Japanese grammar better.

Having to learn loadsss of new words like I learned a few today for example nani なに means what then hanaはな is flower but there is the “nani” and the actual japanese hiragana spelling too. I don’t know if what I have put makes sense to others but it’s basically me saying unlike German, Spanish, French there is another step aswell in Japanese and that’s knowing that like ku is く and ka is か etc...😂

You probably have improved lots since this video, but just one thing. When writing Kanji pay attention to the Kanji as a whole and that it sticks together. For example, 語 is one single unit, but in one of the 語 you wrote, even though it is completely inside the box, it looks more like this 言吾 which is two separate Kanjis, i.e. 言 and 吾 instead of just one. Hope this helps and well done! 頑張って!!!

I was not motivated to study Japanese recently, I want to study again now. Thank you for motivated me. 💪🏻 Also, the word you're looking for at 9:30 is 用事 (ようじ) which means "tasks", "something to do".

you are so amazing. I absolutely love languages but it would be such a struggle to keep my focus for so long. I admire you so much because on top of all this studying you do conversations by yourself which is frustrating sometimes and definitely drains your motivation. I really love this lots of love for you

Honestly you can do it Danielle! Even if it’s just 5 minutes a day, it will eventually turn into hours. I started off small and now my dedication has grown! ✨✨ Thank you so much! Yes it’s super hard to do conversation by myself but I guess that’s how it is in a pandemic right. 😬🤣 And on top of that no face to face uni classes! But I really appreciate your feedback so much and I look forward to your future comments! Uni has been so hard so I promise I’ll be back with more videos soon Best Jazmine ✨💕
