Hello! There is no reason to worry, because I found that the JBL Filip 5 speaker already has lfm as its default mode. When I tried to turn on lfm mode it just turned off, so I already had lfm and didn't even know it since I bought the speaker. LFM is the perfect default mode because when you switch it off, the music sounds so much like a phone speaker, which isn't cool. Only and only LFM!!!

True, I own 2 of them and have use lfm on one of them and their is a big difference in the max volume

It does not break the speaker. However it can loosen the screws of the flip 5 overtime which makes a scratching sound if this happens tighten the screws and it will be fine. Just don’t have it at full volume all the time and it will not damage your speaker. 👍

I bought jbl flip 5 yesterday and unfortunately I didn't see ur comment now my speaker is actually sound like those cheap speakers although I just have used the mode for like 2 minutes

this mode damages the components by removing all audio optimizations such as the dsp. Over time this will damage the components and lead to worse audio quality. Even then this mode produces bad audio quality. There is a reason jbl removed this mode. The mode was designed for jbl technicians to bypass certain electronics in order to diagnose issues. (Edited for spelling errors)

Theres no such thing as low frequency mode Having you're Debug mode its called debug mode Debug mode Removes All of its protection so theres No LFM Same as the AC mode AC mode is Prevently A debug mode that ALSO removes its Protection

Don't use the LFM on full volume, its the perfect recipe to destroy the speaker. I use the volume up to 75% of its strength for years, and my speaker works perfectly fine. In some cases the LFM is already activated , to check if its already activated. Press and holding in the Volume Down (-) and Bluetooth buttons for about ten seconds. Put song your favorite song, and check if you fell ant different.

Thank you for the great question 👍 After research I found that By default, the JBL Xtreme 2 has its low frequency mode turned ON after a reset. But you can turn it on or off manually by pressing on the( - )and Bluetooth button. Let me know how it works for you. Wish you the best of all 🌟

No but if you want bass you can turn mono mode on but if you have gg version then i dont recommed

Thank you so much for the great question. Low-frequency mode makes the passive bass radiators move a lot more. Which emphasizes the bass, and deep bass makes the music so much better. Moreover, when you activate the low-frequency mode, that makes that speaker louder. For this reason, we need to be cautious not to maximize volume since it can damage the speaker. But if you use the speaker mindfully, you can enjoy a better sound and keep the speaker safe. Let me know if you have more questions

The opposite. With LFM the bass become stronger so you really have to control carfully the volume of the sound. What model if jbl you got?

@@lilk8576 its sounds like the LFM was already enabled on your speaker. Press on the Play + Bluetooth buttons and the speaker should return to its normal state as you are familiar with.

@@LevinsReview Wrong. It doesn't get louder... If you boost without applying a negative pre-amp you're going to experience clipping or limiting. For example, if the highest boost is is about +10dB your pre-amp should be -10dB or lower. But since these speakers do not have a preamp (that is at least accessible), it will lead to the aforementioned issues. Note that this will decrease your average volume. Also, without delving too deep into the mechanics - air is also a factor in how loud a speaker can output.

When this mode is off you will experience huge change in the sound, the bass sounds very poor , and that the life taken out of the sound. Interestingly, in some cases this mode is already enables when you get it from the store

@@raitisgobins I disagree. you may mistaken that LFM is on. Mine sometimes flash and did not on LFM. LFM was never on in a brand new speaker but it may be possible in a used speaker.

I'm afraid to try this mode, although it's a lot of interest to try, but it's not recommended, I don't want my € 100 speaker to break down, so I missed this suggestion. Do you have a safe solution so I'm not afraid and still try it on lfm?

Man.... I'm using this mode since i purchased the speakers. And the resdiators work perfectly fine. Of course don't increase the volume to 100% its will blow your radiators no doubt about it. But also don't cross the road when the traffic lights is red ....... be always mindful!

Stop open the low frequency mode !!!! IT WILL DAMAGE your JBL speaker because your JBL will overdriving at this mode !!! And the sound will be not more clearly on the low frequency mode :/ After the time you use the low frequency mode your JBL speaker will be make weird noises and sounds and that sound make the woofer witch is damaged !!!!

I never recommend something before i try it by myself, and work with enough time to get experience. I use LFM for more then six months, of course i use it thoughfutly like not increasing the sound too much or to the maz. The speakers work perfectly fine. Even if you gonna use an equalizer which without any doubt improves the sound but of course if you increase the bands too much it can also destroy the speaker. So like everything in life we have to do it thoughtfully. So no i will not delete this video because I truly believe in this method and there millions of videos and blogs which give the same info. You gonna ask them all to delet it? ..
